The platform has lots of gigs you can do to make money in an hour or so, from freelance graphic design work to furniture assembly.
Just go to the “Jobs” section of your city’s Craigslist, and you’ll be able to browse job openings.
Jobs are separated by category, such as writing/editing and general labor, which is pretty handy, right?

Make sure you watch out for scams. For example, don’t pay to apply for or to do a job, or provide any personal information like your credit card details.

When you need money ASAP, ask around your neighborhood to see if anyone wants their lawn mowed.
You could even upload a post advertising your services on neighborhood Facebook groups. Since you can ask for payment right after the job is complete, you’ll have the cash that same day.

Earn money today by delivering food from restaurants and other eateries.
Rideshare driving isn’t for everyone because it requires having strangers in your car. That’s why food delivery can be a good alternative. You drop off people’s food orders at their homes.

My husband uses this tip all the time and has had great success with it!
When the cell service in our area went down for months, my husband contacted the cell phone provider a few times to complain. The customer service agent he spoke with gave him 3 months’ worth of service for free.
In less than an hour, he was able to save more than $100. Get in touch with service providers and see if you can negotiate your bills. Often, companies offer the best deals to new customers because they want to attract more paying customers.
Take a look at what promotions your service provider is offering to new customers. Then, call and ask for a better deal. Mention those incentives for new customers, and ask if they can provide you, a loyal customer, with something similar. If they can’t, consider switching services.
35. Sell scrap metal
You’re thinking, “I need money overnight. What can I do?”
Surprisingly, the solution may be sitting in your garage.
That solution is scrap metal. Copper, iron, steel, aluminum, and other scrap metals can all be sold to bring in some quick cash.
While you might not get a huge amount of money from this, most places pay quickly.
36. Shop for and deliver groceries
Earn up to $25 in just an hour when you shop for and deliver groceries. This is a good way to earn some money fast.
You likely visit the grocery store anyway, right? So why not make some extra cash while you’re there?

Make up to $20 in just an hour with cleaning work. Lots of people need their homes cleaned, right? People are busy and just don’t have the time to do it themselves. This is where you could make some extra money.

38. Get instant cash from your receipts with Ibotta
Another option to try is Ibotta. This app gives you rebates just for buying stuff at the grocery store. For earning a little extra cash quickly, it’s certainly a good option.
All you need to do is browse offers, purchase the items featured in those offers, and upload a photo of your receipt as proof of purchase.
You’ll often see rebates from $1 to $3 or more. So, you can easily make a bit of money just for doing something you would normally do anyway.

Check your bank statements for any recurring subscriptions and cancel the ones you no longer use. You can likely do this in less than an hour. You could end up with hundreds of dollars extra in your account just by doing a little cleanup of your unwanted subscriptions.
44. Get refunds with Price Protection (Formerly Paribus)
If you want money fast, I highly recommend using a tool from Capital One Shopping called Price Protection, formerly known as Paribus. Paribus is now part of Capital One Shopping.
Price Protection is a tool that automatically checks for refunds. For anyone who shops online, this is a must-have. Price Protection identifies recent (past 30 days) purchases based on shipping and order confirmation emails found in your mailbox.
It continuously monitors and compares price changes for these items in real time. Once an eligible claim is detected, Price Protection will contact the retailer on your behalf and file a claim requesting a refund, or it will provide you with straightforward instructions on how to get a refund yourself.
You’ll get a refund for the difference between the price you paid and the lower price. This refund will be credited directly to the original form of payment, or you’ll be provided with the equivalent amount in store credit.
This is such an easy way to get some money back into your bank account.

This can be such an easy way to get money in just an hour or so. Now, you will need to check if your state has can and bottle deposit laws, since not all states do, unfortunately.
