Uber is a super popular transportation app.

Customers can use the app to get a ride quickly.

Almost anyone can make money with Uber, driving people around.

Essentially, you provide a taxi service to Uber customers. You can use the Uber app to get directions, which is great.

You get to set your own schedule, so whether you need to pick up a couple of shifts at work or want to work full-time, being a driver for Uber is a flexible job.

How much you earn as an Uber driver depends on various factors, like where you live and whether you offer rides at times when there’s a high demand.

According to figures reported on Glassdoor, an Uber Driver can earn anywhere from $11.75 to $14.79 an hour.

That said, an Uber study suggests that Uber Drivers make more money than taxi drivers do, averaging $19 an hour.

2. Lyft

Lyft works in a similar way to Uber. Using the Lyft app, customers can request rides and pay for those rides automatically.

As a Lyft driver, you can open up the Lyft app and turn on driver mode, and accept the ride requests you want.

As a Lyft driver, you get paid on a per minute and mile basis for every trip.

You get to keep your tips too.

How much you earn depends on a few factors, like where you live and how many hours you drive. If you work during peak hours, then you make more money.

According to Lyft, some drives make over $800 just driving on Friday nights and during the weekends.

Drivers with the brand earn $16 an hour, according to figures reported on Glassdoor.

Handily, enough, Lyft has an earnings calculator, which you can use to get a better idea of how much cash you’ll make. You can enter your city and the number of hours you plan to drive.

So, for example, if you live in Boston, MA and work just 8 hours per week, the calculator estimates that you’ll earn $192.

The brand automatically deposits money into your account weekly. But, you can also cash out your earnings instantly with Express Pay.

3. iCarpool

iCarpool connects customers who need a ride with drivers who are traveling the customer’s way at the same time.

It’s essentially a carpooling app.

According to the app, you can “turn your empty seats into cash.”

Unlike with Uber or Lyft, where you have to travel to places set by the customer to pick them up, with iCarpool, you don’t have to take any detours or do any extra driving.

Instead, customers who need a ride join along your route, at the locations you choose.

Using the app, you can add the trips that you commonly take, such as your morning commute and your evening commute.

It’s a great way to make money from your commute to work, or any time you drive anywhere, from the grocery store to the dry cleaners.

You get paid for each ride you give, but iCarpool does not state how much.

Since you don’t have to go out of your way to give rides, you can make money driving the routes you normally would anyway.

4. HopSkipDrive

HopSkipDrive is an app that provides a taxi service to children aged 6 and above.

Since drivers for HopSkipDrive are responsible for driving children to their destinations, the process for getting approved is more stringent than it is for Uber and Lyft.

You’ll need to have at least five years’ experience in childcare as well.

With this one, you can earn up to $30 an hour as a driver.

Get Paid to Deliver Packages

Whether it’s a piece of furniture or dry cleaning, you can earn cash when you deliver packages to customers.

Here are a few companies that pay you to deliver a wide variety of things:

5. Postmates: $25 pr hour

Postmates is a delivery company that delivers a huge range of things, like groceries, office supplies, lunch and dinner.

You can work as a delivery driver for the company and set your own schedule.

What’s great about this company is that it pays up to $25 an hour. And, you get tips as well.

6. Amazon Flex: $18 – $25 per hour

Amazon Flex pays drivers to deliver Amazon packages.

As a courier for the company, you get to choose how little or how often you work.

Since delivery opportunities are available seven days per week, you choose which blocks of time you want to work.

This is a really flexible money making opportunity.

Amazon Flex delivery drivers can earn from $18 to $25 per hour. So, this is another profitable opportunity.

7. Roadie

Roadie differs a little from the other companies on this list.

It’s an on-the-way delivery network.

This means that it’s designed to match people who need items delivered, with drivers who are already headed in the right direction.

Again, with this one you get to set your own schedule.

Customers post deliveries and a price for each one.

All you need to do is choose the jobs you’re interested in.

The amount you’ll earn varies from delivery to delivery. But, the company does state that most local jobs pay between $8 and $50.

And for long distance jobs with oversized items, couriers can earn up to $650.

8. Deliv

Deliv provides same day delivery services to businesses.

And, it hires Delivery Specialists to make these deliveries.

As a Delivery Specialist, you get paid to pick up and deliver items.

Ideally, you get to set your own schedule. You can either schedule times to work ahead of time, or you can just choose open hours on the day.

With this one, you can earn up to $20 an hour, and payment is sent weekly.

Shyp is another company that sometimes posts job openings for couriers.

This company offers shipping and fulfillment services to businesses and individuals.

It collects, packages, and ships a huge range of items via well-known global carriers, such as FedEX, UPS and USPS.

According to figures from Glassdoor, couriers for the company can earn between $11 and $17 per hour.

11. Burro

On-demand, same day delivery and hauling company, Burro will pay you to deliver a wide range of items.

While most of its driver positions are aimed at people with trucks, it does also hire people who have cars, as driver helpers.

GoShare is a company that provides, moving, hauling, and delivery services.

13. Doorman

Get paid to deliver packages that customers have purchased online with Doorman.

You can set your own schedule and earn money weekly.

As a Doorman courier, you need to visit a Doorman warehouse, load packages into your car, and then check the delivery driver app.

The app will show you where to deliver packages.

Then, you hand deliver the customer’s package.

The company doesn’t specify how much you can earn, but it does state that the more you drive, the more you earn.

14. CitizenShipper

Like Roadie, CitizenShipper is a peer-to-peer shipping company.

So, it matches people that need an item shipped with people who already plan to drive in that direction.

Basically, people list items that they want shipped and then you, the driver can put in a bid for it.

Your bid is how much you will earn for shipping the item.

With CitizenShipper, you get to bid on the deliveries you’re interested in.

This means that you can deliver stuff where you want to and set your own hours.

Munchery is a company that delivers fresh, healthy, chef-prepared food to people’s homes.

According to figures from Glassdoor, delivery drivers at Munchery get paid $13 per hour on average, but pay can range from $10 to $20 an hour.

Munchery states that drivers get competitive compensation packages.

And, they also get tips, mileage reimbursement, data reimbursement, and access to an employee discount program.

This one isn’t quite as flexible as some of the others on the list, as you have to work a minimum number of shifts.

Another company that pays you to deliver food is Grubhub.

Using the app, the brand’s customers can place food orders straight from their smartphone or computer.

As one of the company’s drivers, you get paid for picking up and delivering these orders.

And, you get to keep 100% of your tips.

As a delivery driver, you earn a guaranteed $12 per hour.

On average, drivers earn $12 to $17 an hour, but can earn up to $20 an hour based on deliveries.

With this one, you need to be available to work nights and weekends.

UberEATS is a food delivery service that started in 2015. Pretty much anyone with car can work as one of its delivery drivers.

In this role, it’s your responsibility to deliver food from local restaurants to customers at their home or office.

You can work as much or as little as you want – just take delivery requests within the UberEATS app, and use the app to get directions to where you’re delivering the food.

According to figures on Glassdoor, UberEATs drivers earn an average of $10 per hour. But, how much you earn varies depending on where you live and how many deliveries you make.

26.  DoorDash

DoorDash will pay you to collect food from local restaurants and deliver it to customers.

As a delivery driver, or “Dasher,” as they’re known at DoorDash, you accept orders within the app. And, you can take on as many or as few orders as you want. So, you get to set your own schedule.

In addition to a car, you’ll also need to have a smartphone to work with the company.

How much you’ll earn with DoorDash depends on factors, like the driving distance, the size of the order and traffic.

And, of course where you live will factor into how much you earn.

You can make a lot of money for displaying ads on your car.

This is such an easy way to make cash. You don’t have to do anything else. Just get your car wrapped, or place advertising stickers on it, and you’ll earn cash just for driving around like you normally do.

A business gets advertising and increases the visibility of their brand, and you make money.

If you don’t mind displaying ads on your car, then consider working with one of the companies below.

*Please note that reputable companies will not make you pay to wrap your car or to place ads on it. If a company does that, it’s usually a scam and you should not pay them anything.

30. Wrapify

Wrapify is a car wrap advertising company.

And, it pays drivers to display ads on their cars.

If you meet the company’s requirements, then it will notify you when campaigns in your area become available.

When you accept a campaign, Wrapify wraps the car for you.

You don’t have to pay anything. Most drivers have the ads displayed on their vehicles for one to six months.

Just drive your car like you normally would and you’ll earn cash. You do need to track your commute with the Wrapify app though, as the brand pays you by the mile.

Wrapify states that drivers earn between $400 and $600 a month, on average.

This is definitely one of the most reputable companies of its kind out there.

Another company that pays you to display ads on your car is Carvertise.

To qualify, you need to have a clean driving record and drive at least 30 miles per day.

If the company accepts your application, and offers you a campaign, then you take your car to get wrapped.

You don’t have to place ads on it yourself.

Depending on where you live, you will need to take your car to the company’s headquarters in Wilmington Delaware, or to one of the brand’s partnered signage shops to get it wrapped.

The company gives you the details about when and where your car will be wrapped before the campaign starts.

You get paid between $100 and $200 per month.

Also, you can earn an additional $30 an hour if you park your car in certain places at specific times.

You’ll also need to keep your calendar up to date, so that people know when it’s available to rent.
