Don’t have a printer, but want to coupon?
Well, don’t worry; you can still enjoy savings.
In today’s post, we tell you exactly how to coupon without a printer, including manufacturers and coupons from Walmart, Target and other stores.
Since according to statistics, coupons can save people $200 or more each month, you definitely don’t want to miss out on great savings just because you don’t have a printer.
Thankfully, using printable coupons aren’t the only way to save money. There are tons of no print coupons apps that you can use on your phone, as well as other ways to coupon without using a printer.
What will I learn?
1. Use Cashback Apps
One of the easiest ways to coupon if you don’t have a printer is to use cashback apps. These apps give you cashback when you shop or purchase specific items.

Some of these apps will pay you when you upload a photo of your receipt.
So basically any time you purchase anything, as long as you upload a photo of an itemized receipt, you’ll get a rebate.
Others give you cashback when you purchase specific items.
For example, Ibotta (review here) might have a rebate available for Bounty paper towels. So you buy the paper towels, upload a photo of your receipt, and Ibotta will give you the rebate.
Using these receipt apps that offer cashback is such a good way to get your hands on discounts if you don’t own a printer.

2. Check in your local paper
This is an often overlooked source of coupons.
Sometimes, you can find some really great coupons for stores in your area.
So take a look. You can simply clip the coupons the old fashioned way, no printer required.
The Sunday paper, in particular, is a good source.
If you can afford to on your budget, then buy a few different Sunday papers.
Often, you’ll find that many coupons in the paper have a higher value than the ones you can print online.
It’s easy to coupon without a printer if you buy a Sunday paper, or a few of them, each week.
3. Don’t Forget Magazines Either
When it comes to couponing, magazines may be even more overlooked than newspapers.
And it’s a shame because you can find some really great coupons in magazines.
Check out magazines from stores, as well as magazines in general.
For example, many housekeeping, home and garden, and lifestyle magazines feature coupons for household products, personal care products, and grocery stores.
4. Browse Weekly Ads and Flyers from Local Stores
Big chains, small local grocery stores and supermarkets will often give out coupon booklets, weekly ads and other materials that contain coupons.
Sometimes, these are sent out in the mail, and other times you’ll find them in-store.
Don’t forget to check, otherwise, you might miss out on some great coupons that you can simply clip and use.
5. Use Coupon Websites and Shop Online Instead
Rather than going into a brick and mortar store, consider shopping online instead.
There are so many great coupon and bargain shopping websites that feature coupon codes and promo codes.
When you shop online, you can enter these codes at the checkout and get a discount, so there’s no need to print anything.
Since many brands and retailers, from Walmart to Nike, have online stores, it’s just as easy to shop online as it is in-store.
Below, we’ve listed some of the best coupon websites that offer promo codes and coupon codes that you can use when shopping online.
6. Use Coupon Apps
Wondering how to use coupons on your phone?
Well, with coupon apps it’s super simple.
With these apps, you can get coupons that can be scanned from your phone, or get digital coupons that you load right onto your store loyalty card.
Once you’ve loaded these coupons to your loyalty card, the discounts will automatically be applied at the checkout when you use the loyalty card.
You’ll find all sorts of coupons on these apps, from mobile manufacturer coupons to coupons for grocery stores and department stores.
Coupon apps are such a great way to get your hands on money-saving deals without having to print anything.

7. Shop through Cashback Websites
Again, if you’re willing to shop online, then you should definitely check out cashback websites.
Here’s how they work:
Let’s take Ebates as an example.
Ebates is one of the most popular cashback websites out there.
Cashback websites, like Ebates, partner with stores and brands, like Macy’s, Walmart, Nike and Dell.
Each time someone visits Ebates and then shops at one of these partner stores, like Macy’s for example, that partner store will pay Ebates a commission.
Stores, like Macy’s, give cashback websites, like Ebates, this commission in return for sending customers their way.
The cashback website then shares a portion of this commission with you.
On these cashback websites, you can get anywhere from 1% to 100% cashback, in some cases.
So if you’d like to get a discount on your shopping, then consider shopping online, through a cashback website.
Here are a few cashback platforms that you might want to check out:
8. Check for coupons on product packaging
Often, the products themselves feature coupons.
You can usually find these coupons on the inside of the packaging, or with many boxed items, like cereals, the coupons are on the back or the bottom of the box.
So take a look at the items in your pantry or at the grocery store, and see if there are any coupons on there.
9. Request Coupons from Brands or Retailers Directly
If you like a particular brand, then you might want to contact them directly to request coupons.
Just let the brand or retailer know how much you enjoy its products and ask if they have any coupons available. This doesn’t always work, but often it does. This is a good way to get coupons in the mail.
Visit the website of your favorite brand and look for the “contact” page or section.
Here are a few examples of companies who’ve been known to send coupons in the mail (and we’ve linked to the contact page for each one):
10. Check out Walmart Savings Catcher
Shop at Walmart a lot?
Wanna use Walmart coupons on your phone without printing them?
If so, then you’ll definitely want to check out Walmart Savings Catcher.
This is a handy feature of the Walmart app that can get you a rebate on the stuff you buy at Walmart.
It’s not a coupon app per se, but it does get you rebates on some of the stuff that you purchase at Walmart.
So how does Walmart Savings Catcher work you ask?
It’s pretty simple.
At Walmart, you’ll generally find items at a low cost.
Sometimes though, Walmart doesn’t offer the cheapest price for an item.
This is where Walmart Savings Catcher comes in handy.
It checks the price you paid for products at Walmart against prices offered by competitor stores, during the same time period.
And if Walmart Savings Catcher finds that you did pay more for an item at Walmart than you would have at a competitor store, then you’ll get a rebate, in the form of store credit, for the difference.
For example, if you purchased paper towels at Walmart for $5, but at the same time, Target ran a deal that gave you 20% off paper towels, meaning you could buy them for just $4, then Walmart would give you a $1 rebate.
All you need to do to get your rebates is upload a photo of your Walmart receipt, using the app.
11. Use Paribus
Paribus is a great tool for getting discounts on the things you buy. It’s not a coupon tool, but it works in a similar way to Walmart Saving Catcher, meaning it saves you money.
If you buy something online, and later see that it goes on sale, then it can be really annoying!
Fortunately, Paribus will automatically get you a refund for the difference. It scans your inbox for receipts from the stores that it monitors, and if it finds that an item you’ve bought goes on sale, then it will get you a refund.
It’s a handy tool for saving money when you shop online.

12. Print coupons at your local library
If you have some great printable coupons, then consider going to your local library to print them.
Some libraries allow you to print coupons, and others don’t, so just check at your local library to see if you can use its printer to print out your coupons.
13. Use Store Apps
Many stores have apps that give you digital coupons that you can scan from your phone or load directly onto your store loyalty card and automatically redeem at the checkout.
These apps are so handy if you’re looking to coupon without a printer.
Here are a few great store apps that offer coupons:
Also, check to see if a store you plan to shop at has an app, as it may provide you with some great coupons.

14. Visit the CVS Coupon Center
If you shop at CVS and want to save money at CVS, then you should definitely check out the retailer’s ExtraCare Coupon center. At the coupon center, members of the store’s ExtraCare rewards program can print out coupons.
These coupon centers are red kiosks that are found in CVS stores. Just visit the Coupon Center before you start shopping, scan your ExtraCare card, or enter the phone number associated with the card if you don’t have it with you. Then you can print out the coupons you want and redeem them when you buy products.
15. Consider purchasing a cheap printer
It’s totally possible to coupon without a printer, as you can see, but if you really get into couponing, as many people do, then you might not want to miss out on the printable coupons that you can get online.
In this case, you might want to think about purchasing a low-cost printer.
While some printers are certainly super expensive, there are some cheap alternatives available as well. Good places to check are Amazon, Craigslist, eBay and Walmart.
As you can see, even if you don’t have a printer, there are still so many ways that you can get great coupons.
