Sometimes you need to cash a check at night or outside of the regular business hours. Banks and credit unions and traditional bank lobbies are not open 24 hours a day.
That’s where 24 or late night check cashing places become handy. I personally have had to cash checks late at night because I needed cash for the next day. Thankfully there are quite a few places that provide 24-hour check cashing near me. This is awesome because it means that if I need cash late at night or early in the morning, I can get it without having to wait around for the place to open.
If you need to cash a check at an odd hour, then it’s good to know which places provide 24-hour check cashing services.
So, where offers 24-hour check cashing near me?

Bank ATMs with 24-Hour Check Cashing
Checks can be cashed at many bank ATMs. Technically, you’re not “cashing” the check. Instead, you are depositing the check and then withdrawing the funds. But, the outcome is the same since you get the cash from the check.
There are check cashing ATMs on nearly every corner. Several large national banks provide 24-hour access to their ATM network.
Make sure the specific check-cashing machine you plan to use does accept deposits. Although it’s rare, some older ATMs may not accept deposits. ATMs that have check scanners are more likely to give you access to your funds immediately.
You will need to be an account holder at the bank that owns the ATM. If you don’t have an account with a bank or credit union, you will likely incur fees, and be unable to complete your transaction.
Some banks may allow non-customers to deposit checks at ATMs, but most don’t. If you don’t have a bank account at one of these banks, then try one of the other sections on the list, like grocery stores or gas stations.
ATM machines are a great option because, in most cases, they are open 24/7, even on the weekends.
Here are some banks that offer 24-hour check cashing:
1. Bank of America
Bank of America has 17,000 ATMs! So, it’s likely that you have one near you where you can deposit a check.
You can deposit most checks as long as they’re printed with magnetic ink, so not on a home printer. You can deposit up to 10 checks per day.

Generally speaking, grocery stores don’t usually cash personal checks. But you can cash other types of checks at the grocery store.
Generally, the check cashing counter is open for grocery stores open 24 hours.
Checks you can cash are those with a magnetic link and not those that are handwritten.
You will also usually need a valid ID to cash a check at a grocery store, so make sure you bring the right documentation with you.
