What is PrizeRebel?
The site was founded in 2007 and it has been gaining popularity ever since. PrizeRebel is a free survey site where you complete tasks and offers to earn points and redeem for prizes.
As with any other rewards site, like Swagbucks, once you earn enough points, you can redeem your points for prizes such as gift cards and cash.
Simply put, PrizeRebel is a paid survey site. You fill out a survey, they reward you in points, you redeem those points for cash (PayPal) or gift cards to Amazon, iTunes, or any number of other places.

Some key details about this company are:

Obviously, these details are pretty darn impressive. Plus, the site is super easy to join, with the process taking less than ten seconds to complete.

Signing up is very easy and quick.
Here’s how:

It really is as easy and quick as that.

PrizeRebel Features
PrizeRebel has tons of features in its service that allows users to earn money. Listed below is each feature along with a brief explanation of how it works.
Levels
The first main feature they offer to members is the PrizeRebel point system and levels. Every time you complete tasks, you get experience points added to your account. If you get enough points, you’ll go up a “level” on your account.
Levels basically allow you to earn more points, especially from referred friends. The higher level you are, the more points you’ll get at the end of the month too as a “monthly bonus”. There are several types of levels:
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
- Diamond
At Gold, your reward claims will be processed much faster than previous levels, which means you can actually get paid faster!
Advertisements
One thing that should be noted is that their extra games, such as contests or “lucky numbers” do not count towards your experience points.
Referral Program
One great thing about this site is its referral program. Lots of sites give little bonuses for each person you invite. However, what’s cool about this program is that you earn a percentage bonus every time a referred friend earns points. As they earn through offers, surveys, tasks, offer walls, daily points, or videos, you will earn a percentage of points based on their earnings.
The account level system also affects how much you earn.
The extra points you can get are:
- Bronze – 15%
- Silver – 20%
- Gold – 25%
- Platinum – 25%
- Diamond – 30%
Obviously the main drawback to this is that you’re only going to get a lot of points if your friends remain active.
Special Bonuses
At the end of the month, you’ll earn a special bonus in the form of a percentage of whatever you earned that month.
Usually, this bonus is only 1% to 3% so you’re only going to get something low, like an extra 10 points. However, even just a few points can add up over time.
Daily Challenges
Challenges are daily goals that give you extra points. If you complete all your goals within the day, you get to collect your reward. You have 24 hours to complete it before the challenge resets.
Daily Points
If you’ve ever joined a site like this before, you’ve probably experienced this: you really enjoy doing a simple task but were only allowed to do it once.
Well, Prize Rebel has a solution for this. Every day, they select a short task that people can do up to 20 times and earn points each time. So, if you ever don’t feel like taking a really long survey, you can at least do this!
Lucky Numbers
This is one of the features that isn’t free to participate in. In the game Lucky Numbers, you have to choose four numbers, ranging from 1 to 17. The goal is to match all four numbers to win the jackpot.
However, to participate you have to purchase lucky number tickets. For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend playing this game.
Contests
You can join contests by doing things like:
- Completing offers
- Doing a task
- Watching videos
Once you do the requirements, you get an entry into the contest.
Winners tend to be announced two to three days after the contest ends.
Raffles
This is another game that isn’t free to play. You have to purchase raffle tickets for each raffle. The tickets can only be bought using the points you’ve earned on the site.
Once you have your ticket, you are automatically entered into the drawing. No need to do any tasks or videos or anything like that.
Winners are drawn randomly from eligible raffle tickets. Your odds of winning, of course, will depend on how many tickets you’ve bought.
Browser Extension
The browser extension is available for both Firefox and Google Chrome. The extension allows you to keep updated with your account and get notifications for new surveys.
You can also use the extension to:
- Get promo codes
- Check your daily earnings
- See how close you are to a reward
- Check your referrals
The site also explains that it won’t slow down your browser because it runs passively in the background.
I did find it strange that they made no mention if they used this extension to collect data, so I did a bit of digging. While their privacy policy didn’t specifically mention the extension, I did find a section that I feel like they could apply to this software. According to their privacy policy:
“We may log usage data about your use of our website and services. The usage data may include your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views, mobile advertising ID, and website navigation paths, as well as information about the timing, frequency, and pattern of your service use.”
If you are concerned about this site selling your browsing data, you may want to avoid downloading these extensions.
How Much Can You Earn?
There appears to be no definable upper limit to how much you can earn in a given week. The only thing that sets a cap is what surveys you qualify for and how much time you actually want to spend on the site.
For a $10 PayPal deposit, you need to earn 1000 points. Some users have claimed that they can make up to $10 in a single day after just a few hours on the site. This is a much higher payout compared to most other survey sites, which can sometimes only bring in a couple of cents in a day.
To get your rewards, you have to redeem your points.
Some of the reward choices are:
- Amazon gift cards
- PayPal deposits
- iTunes cards
- Walmart gift cards
- Prepaid Visa cards
- Starbucks cards
PrizeRebel Reviews and Ratings
In my experience, sites like these tend to make a lot of promises they don’t keep. It’s important to check what other users have to say because they’ll be able to tell you if a company is legit or not. Here are some reviews I found about PrizeRebel.
“PrizeRebel is by far my favorite sites. It offers a variety of surveys, offers, and passive watching content. I mainly used the site for its surveys though, and with 8 different survey partners they never run out of surveys to complete,” said a Reddit user.
“Probably my favourite for surveys. I can easily hop on and make $10 dollars in a couple of hours if I got free time,” said another Reddit user.
“I love PrizeRebel! It’s my favorite GPT site! I have been using it more than a year, no problems at all,” said this Reddit user.
The community manager of PrizeRebel also did a Q and A with users of Reddit, which provided a lot of insight into the company and how its service worked. If you want to check that out, you can do so here.
On the website Trust Pilot, this company has a 3.5 star rating out of 5 stars. There are over 100 reviews submitted about PrizeRebel which contributed to its rating.
Here are some of the common remarks made about what PrizeRebel has to offer:
Pros
- Customer support is responsive
- The pay is worth the effort you put in
- Payout is generally quite quick
- Good bonus daily rewards
Cons
- Needs more earning opportunities
- You can be disqualified for many different surveys
How Does PrizeRebel Make Money?
When it comes to survey sites, one of the main concern people have is whether or not a site is legitimate or a scam. And it’s a valid concern, especially when you take into account that, at least on the surface, it seems like they are just giving away money.
So the question becomes, how do survey sites make money?
If you start looking at survey sites like any other business, you begin to see that just like any other business, they make money by either selling a product or service. In this case, PrizeRebel is selling access to heir userbase to market research companies.
Market research companies are paid by companies to gather feedback from consumers that the companies can then use to improve their products or develop better ones in the future. Market research companies then pay some of that money to sites like PrizeRebel who help them gather that all-important feedback.
And that is how PrizeRebel, and any other site like it, make money.
Is PrizeRebel Worth it?
I honestly have to say this is one of the best survey sites I’ve looked at in a long time. I really enjoy the fact they give users so many ways to earn points besides just doing surveys over and over again.
I also appreciate the fact that this company is so open to communication and has good customer service. Oftentimes, survey sites tend to leave their users stranded for weeks or even months without a word.
Obviously, you can’t get rich off this site but I do think it is one of the better-paying survey sites out there.
I hope this Prize Rebel review has been helpful for you. If you’ve used this site before, I’d love to know what your experiences were!
