Ready to organize your loose change without spending a penny?
Read on to find out how you can get free coin wrappers!
Coin wrappers, which are also known as bank rolls or just rolls, are a paper or plastic container for coins.
Coin wrappers are good for sorting and organizing your spare change, and you can get a better idea of how much cash you actually have by using them. Coin wrappers are also necessary if you are looking to exchange your coins for cash or deposit them into your bank account.
There are so popular that the United States Mint sells coin rolls collector’s box!
Although some credit unions and banks have coin-counting machines, some banks and credit unions don’t offer them and instead accept rolled coins. So, you’ll need to sort and roll your coins yourself.

You will need to group your change into separate piles of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, and then insert them into the corresponding coin wrappers.
The denominations for each type of coin are as follows:
- Penny Rolls: 50 pennies per roll: 50 cents
- Nickel Rolls: 40 nickels per roll: $2
- Dime Rolls: 50 dimes per roll: $5
- Quarter Rolls: 40 quarters per roll: $10
Once you’ve sorted your change and have rolled the coins, you can then calculate how much money you have and then take the coin rolls to your bank or credit union to deposit them into your account or exchange them for bills.
If you want to sort out your change though, you’ll need coin wrappers. If you are looking to save some money, you’ll want to know where to get free coin wrappers.
