With so many deals and coupon sites out there, finding discounts is easier than ever.
Combine that with the many ways you can save money shopping online and you’ve got yourself a deal!
There is no reason to pay full price again.
Unfortunately, not every single deal site out there is ideal in helping you find the right coupons and promo codes for the product you are planning to buy.
And some so-called “discount websites,” like OverStock, are just overhyped stores that make you think you’re getting a good deal, but in reality, they jack their prices up so much that even with the so-called “discount” you end up paying much more for a lot of stuff than you would on other sites.
Thankfully, there are still a lot of good resources for finding amazing deals online.

Best Discount Shopping Websites
According to a Pew Research Center survey of U.S. adults, about eight in ten Americans shop online and about 79% have made an online purchase of any type.
If you’re one of those people who shop online, you owe it to yourself to use a few of these websites and tools to save some of your hard-earned money with just a few clicks.
Here are 10 of the best bargain shopping sites that will help you do just that.
1. Woot!
- Official site: https://woot.com/
One of the original daily deal websites, Woot! was bought by Amazon a few years ago and greatly expanded the range of deals available.
It features a great deal each day, as well as lists of other deals, and also allows the public to vote on how much they like or hate deals.
If you want to get involved in the discussions, you don’t even have to sign up – just use your Amazon ID to log in.
As an alternative to Facebook, it’s a great way to get involved in community opinions as well.

2. Dealnews.com
- Official site: https://dealnews.com/
This is a comprehensive deal portal and has incorporated several other deal sites during its history.
Deal News tends to concentrate on electronics and clothing and has great search functions that help you find what you want quickly and easily.
Electronics includes computers, TVs, home entertainment, GPS systems, and a great many other items.
You can search directly for what you want to see the deals in your area of interest, and also see which ones have recently expired.
3. Offers.com
- Official site: https://www.offers.com/
Offers.com is a massive portal which includes items from over 6000 different retailers.
It is updated daily, and you can search by the store or the brand for goods in 300 different categories.
You can even select what sort of deal you want, whether a coupon code or a general discount.
The best part is that it also includes local coupons and promo codes for brick and mortar stores around you.
4. Ben’s Bargains
- Official site: https://bensbargains.com/
Slightly fewer retailers than Offers.com, but still a comprehensive deal site.
Ben’s Bargains publishes up to 200 deals each day from 2000 retailers.
You can check up on a product’s price history to see how the price has been trending, and sign up to get deal alerts on the goods you’re interested in.
Thumbing its nose at Amazon, Ben’s Bargains includes a feature that highlights items that are cheaper elsewhere than on Amazon, which may come as a shock to some Amazon devotees!
5. Brad’s Deals
- Official site: https://www.bradsdeals.com/
Brad’s Deals (review) has a different approach to many of these deal sites.
It includes coupons and deals on things that you need to buy regularly, rather than concentrating on big-ticket items like TVs and computers.
You’ll find deals on things like clothing, toiletries, and jewelry.
You can get your deals either online or in some cases with a printable coupon that you can take to the store.
Brad’s Deals includes coupon codes and discounts for many well-known stores and retailers and is well worth checking out, even if you are not going to order online and are going to shop locally.
6. Slickdeals
- Official site: https://slickdeals.net/
This is one of my favorite deal sites. It is actually one of the best online tech deals sites where you can find big discounts on all kinds of computers and electronics.
You need to visit SlickDeals several times a day as the deals are always coming and going.
Lots of the codes come from the active community that Slickdeals attracts.
Once again, this site isn’t restricted to electronics and technology but will point you to deals at local stores, clothing savings, and even vacation packages.
7. DealCatcher
- Official site: https://www.dealcatcher.com/
DealCatcher has a full complement of professional editors checking its deals all the time, though it has public input in the form of forums where you can find reviews and advice.
If you find that you’re buying the Sunday newspaper just to look at the deals, try instead logging into DealCatcher and looking up its Sunday Ads section – you won’t be disappointed.
It typically lists deals from more than 200 stores.
Best Sites to Find Coupons/Promo Codes
Many of the deal sites listed above include deals that require you to enter a coupon code or print out coupons.
Anytime before you click on “Purchase”, you should open another browser tab and look for coupon codes that you can apply.
There are many great coupon apps and websites that gather coupon codes from around the Internet, putting them together for you to try.
There’s never any harm in trying out coupon codes before you check out.
The worst that can happen is they tell you that the coupon is not valid and then you get to try another one.
Best of all, some coupon code sites actually get exclusive coupons from retailers, which will give you a discount that no one else has.
8. DontPayFull
- Official Site: https://www.dontpayfull.com/
DontPayFull has tons of savings for a huge list of retailers. Coupons and codes are easy to find on the site.
Users can also subscribe and get savings directly via email.
9. CouponSherpa
- Official site: https://www.couponsherpa.com/
CouponSherpa has hundreds of printable coupons and promo codes on its site.
It also includes a stellar app (iTunes – Android) that you can customize to include your favorite stores, and find out what coupons they are giving on any particular day.
10. Rather-Be-Shopping.com
- Official site: https://www.rather-be-shopping.com/
A smaller site, but with a good range of high-value coupons (some at 50% or 60% at the time of writing), and an informative blog by the site owner.
11. RetailMeNot
- Official site: https://www.retailmenot.com/
One of the biggest and best coupon code sites is RetailMeNot.com. It has more than half a million offers from over 50,000 retailers and manufacturers.
It also includes exclusive coupon codes, as mentioned above, specially negotiated through its partnerships.
If you download its app (iTunes – Android) which is free, and allow it to track where you are, you can see what deals are available in shops near your location.
12. Honey
- Official site: https://www.joinhoney.com/install
Honey is a browser extension that we have talked about before.
It makes finding online coupons and applying them to your cart a breeze.
You install this free add-on on your browser, then whenever you are on a checkout page you click on Honey and it will automatically apply up to 10 latest coupons for that particular site/store to find the one that gets you the lowest price.
It just can’t get any easier than that.
The only downside is that Honey doesn’t cover every online store. They are constantly adding new stores to their database so they cover a lot of stores already.
Best Sites for Free Shipping Deals
Don’t you hate it when you get to the checkout and discover the shipping cost is going to make the product more expensive than buying it in a local shop?
I know I do.
If only there was a way to get free shipping!
Well, there is a way…
13. FreeShipping.org
- Official site: http://www.freeshipping.org/
FreeShipping.org is the site you need, as it lists free shipping coupons for more than 4000 retailers, including big ones like Best Buy.
Best Sites for Price Comparison
Apart from sites that tell you about all the deals going on, there are also sites that do comparison-shopping between different online retailers for you to find who has an item for the least amount.
You just search for what you want, and the sites will list the various stores where it is available, and how much they’re charging.
You’ll also get access to specifications, customer reviews, and ratings for the merchants.
If this type of shopping interests you, then you can try out the following shopping comparison sites to find what you want at the best price.
14. Google Shopping
15. PriceGrabber
16. Shopzilla
Best Price Tracking Tools
Price tracking sites and apps make it easy to keep track of the prices of items you are interested in buying. They notify you as soon as prices drop so you can buy them at the lowest price possible.
It’s an easy way to save money.
Some of the best price trackers include:
17. CamelCamelCamel
18. Honey
20. CheapShark
Best Tool for Cash-back Rebates
There are a few very nice cashback sites that you can use to earn rebates.
But our favorite one is Swagbucks.
By the way, if you want to maximize your earnings from Swagbucks, read our detailed Swagbucks review to learn the strategy that I use to earn an extra $758.25.
21. Swagbucks
- Official site: https://swagbucks.com
Here is the thing…
If you’re going to buy something no matter what, you may as well go through a cashback site like Swagbucks that gives you a little back.
All it takes is a few minutes for that initial registration, then whenever you want to shop online, simply login to your account, type in the store you want to shop from (or the product you want to buy) and click the link. Everything else stays the same. The only difference is you get cashback.
Some cashback sites also let you use coupons, so that’s a double win for you.
You save money by using coupons and earn money by going through a cashback site.
Pro tip
These days, almost every single company out there, including the websites mentioned above, has its own apps.
Take a few seconds and install the apps for the deal websites that you like so you can follow up when you’re away from your computer.
That way, you’ll never miss out on a deal.
Consider these tools as your personal money saving apps.
Other Bargain Shopping Sites
Here are a few more websites where you can find awesome deals and discounts.
22. Clark Deals
23. Groupon
24. LivingSocial

Update
When we originally wrote this post, there were a few other sites. Since then some of these sites have merged with others and some have shut down. I’m living them here for archival reasons. And also for those who may be wondering, “What happened to X site?”.
Bargainist (merged with BensBargains)
This is a top-rated deal site that updates deals all the time. The newest ones are always listed on top.
You can find deals for almost any store you can think of – Macy’s, Gap, Old Navy, Amazon, Best Buy, The Home Depot…
The deals include regular discounts and coupons.
Buxr (shut down)
Buxr is a deal site with a difference because it allows users to vote on each deal, giving them a star rating.
You can take part in discussions online, and even win prizes using this site.
FatWallet (merged with Rakuten)
If you’re looking for a community of online deal seekers, FatWallet is probably the place for you.
It has millions of members and very active discussion forums.
These discussions allow you to be among the first to discover deals and coupons before other listing sites get them.
The site has been around for years and covers most major retailers.
Though it focuses on getting you deals on electronics, it also includes clothing, jewelry, and cosmetics.
What is the Best Daily Deal Site?
Well, that depends on what you are shopping for.
But in general, I think DealNews.com is hands down the best daily deal site where you can find bargains on everything from electronics and housewares to clothing, jewelry, and everything in between.
The site features real-time updates on the latest deals and discounts from retailers big and small, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and others.
And when it comes to the holiday shopping season, they deliver big time! This is the site that I go to when looking for the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.
I think bookmarking DealNews.com and checking it frequently would ensure you never miss a deal on something you want to buy.
Happy Saving!
Finding the best deal online used to take a lot of time – opening new tabs and searching through different stores.
With the help of the sites listed above, shopping for the best price, and knowing you have the best price, is a lot easier.
If you can find the best price and combine free shipping with it, then you have qualified as a successful deal finder!
