What is WeGoLook?
The company hires “Lookers” as independent contractors to complete field services.
Lookers help businesses and individuals gather and validate information as a part of an on-demand workforce.
If you are hired as a Looker, you get paid to complete tasks (aka “Looks”) requested by customers around the world.
Locations outside the United States include:
- Canada
- The United Kingdom and
- Australia
Almost all Looks require the gathering of some sort of evidence – like photos and/or videos.
There are several types of Looks that usually fall into one of the following categories:
Inspections
- Vehicles
- Properties
- Equipment
- Scenes
Document Services
- Document signing
- Collection
- Notarization
Assessments
Advertisements
- Identifying risk
- Documenting damage
- Adjusting for loss
Pickup and Delivery
- Item retrieval
- Courier services
- Custom tasks
How Does WeGoLook Work?
If you want to earn some supplemental income, WeGoLook can help.
You can use your phone and their app to complete Looks.
For example, you may be paid to take photos of a car being sold online to help a buyer verify its condition.
You could also be asked to take a video of heavy machinery in action or deliver a report to a client.
Lookers also conduct on-site real estate inspections.
Tasks vary and usually take less than an hour to complete.
The company allows you to accept or deny Looks based on your schedule and location.
You accept only the jobs you want then perform and submit them before getting paid.
It’s that simple!
How to become a “Looker”
You can apply to become a Looker via the app or online.
Where to get it:
- Official website: https://wegolook.com/lookers
- WeGoLook App for Android
- WeGoLook App for iOS
Specialized Work
The Looker community also offers special assignments for those with certain skills or licenses, like:
- Licensed drone pilots
- Registered notaries
- Licensed adjusters and appraisers
- Certified mechanics
- Professional photographers and
- Bilingual communicators
How much does WeGoLook pay?
Most Looks pay between $15-$30.
However, you could make up to $200 per Look, depending on the difficulty of the task, level of expertise required and time spent.
After gaining experience and a good track record, any Looker can go “Pro” – no special skills required!
But, only the top Lookers are invited to become Pro.
Being a Pro Looker has its benefits, like getting to know about tasks before others and being personally offered assignments for important clients.
Tips to Make More Money with WeGoLook
It is possible to speed up the time it takes to finish Looks and still turn in quality work.
As with most jobs you do from home, there are things you can do to improve your chances of earning more.
The following tips will also get you on track to being a Pro Looker.
1. Read everything
It may sound like a no-brainer, but you need to actually read through the Look requirements – before accepting them.
Reading all the details will help you fulfill all the specific requests of a client.
2. Set up an exclusive e-mail
Create a separate e-mail solely for WeGoLook tasks.
Gmail is the best choice.
You can sync with Google Calendar and see your day at a glance and organize Looks.
3. Plan your route
The key to any success is planning.
Route planning is important.
Schedule daily errands into an efficient route when possible.
Google Maps can be a handy tool for calculating the shortest distances.
WeGoLook Reviews by Actual Users
WeGoLook has an overall rating of 4.4 on www.Indeed.com.
It is also very popular on Reddit where most reviewers say it is an excellent alternative to getting paid for driving your car with services like Uber.
They also remark on how easy the app is to use.
While the company does offer work-life balance, it should be used mostly for additional and not sole income.
It cannot be considered full-time work, according to the reviews.
Heavily populated areas will have more opportunities for assignments.
But, one reviewer said, even though she lives in a small town, she can still make around $200 on a good month.
The main WeGoLook complaints I noticed were about the slow payment processing system – some Lookers noted that it can take about 10 days to receive payment.
Most Lookers report completing insurance-based tasks like submitting damage photos for claims.
The Bottom Line
Ultimately, you should consider exactly what you need from an employer.
If you are looking to make money in your spare time, WeGoLook may be a great choice.
If you are looking to quit your job and work from home, this option is not for you.
Independent contractors are responsible for paying their own taxes and having access to the necessary tools of the trade – in this case, a smartphone, and a car.
However, becoming a Looker is a good way to benefit from this gig economy.
You are also helping others when you complete your tasks.
There is no application fee, so if you think it might be for you, why not give it a try?
And if you are a Looker, I’d love to hear about your experience. Please share your WeGoLook review in the comments below.

Yes, I guess I’m a Looker. I signed up, got set up, watched the videos, and finally accepted my first Look. The description said 26 miles away, and just take a few pictures of a car for sale. It was a bad weekend, ice storm. I was not going to accept it but they actually called me and ASKED ME to take it. They were urgent, it needed done, so I thought I might as well – once the storm was over. The job was actually 36 miles away, an hour each way on bad roads. The Dealership was not expecting me. The car was not ready, covered in snow and ice. It took me over 3 hours to take 40 pictures plus 40 more items including tire treads. I nearly froze – for $28. Not per hour, for the whole job! Chump change. They called yesterday, wanting me to repeat. I am now ‘on vacation.’ I might try again in Summer.

You failed to conduct your look in the correct fashion. You NEVER show up at a site without contacting the appropriate person at the site. That person’s name is almost always in the look instructions. One of the conditions to do a CarOffer look is to make sure the vehicle is accessible (all four sides) and free from trash inside. Bad Weather is also a reason NOT to do a look.
You can always wait even if you miss the “due date” you’ll have to explain why you missed it. Wego will sometimes assign a look which is due at a date that has passed. They are supposed to always make sure the due date is the next day (or more), but Dealers may be closed on unexpected dates causing you to miss.
Don’t show up with a task (such as delivering a vehicle, without knowing that the dealer will accept it. If you are doing a Car Offer Transport, there are many suburban/rural areas that have no Lyft service. There is no way that I know of to find out if Lyft works where you are going.
And you won’t know what kind of vehicle you will be moving unless you call. Some people cannot drive manual transmissions or electric vehicles. Wego does not ask this. Owners of vehicles to be transported often fail to remove their tags and clean out the trash before you get there even though you have reminded them to do so.
Also, NEVER go to any look until you have verified where it is actually located. In this area they are often a considerable distance away from the address reported in look instructions. Many of these are provided by Insurance Companies whose information is incorrect.
I find that many times a vehicle to be looked at (for any reason) is not where it’s listed in the Wego app. I ran into one where the vehicle was impounded by the Police. I told Wego and they paid me a trip fee for having gone to a failed look.
If Wego calls you, that suggests that no one has taken a look whose due date is getting close. You might be able to be paid more than shows in the App. But it may also be a look no one wants.
I do not suggest using ANY Google products due to privacy issues with them (spying on your use of the internet). I use a secure encrypted mail service which will automatically put email from Wego into separate folders for me. I do, however use Google maps to find true distance and sometimes what the destination looks like.
Looker in Nebraska
Yes, I am a Looker. I’ve been working for WeGoLook since August 2021. At this time this is the only income my family and I have. My previous job of almost 13 years eliminated my job when COVID hit. I haven’t found “the perfect, flexible, steady job” yet. Anyways in August I decided to see what being a Looker was all about. I didn’t want to do a whole lot this month because I didn’t know if I’d really get paid. So I did just under $100. In November I did 18 and then in December I did 49 looks. It is definitely good money when the work is there. I’ve declined looks that the pay was low and the milage was further away. I like to get at least a dollar a mile for the drive and usually won’t take it unless there’s a group of them to do so I make it worth the drive. Since I’ve started things have picked up some until now. This week has been slow for some reason but I’m thinking things will pick back up once people start getting their tax money. In the meantime I’ve been searching for other companies that do these same type of inspections but haven’t had any luck so if anyone knows of any please share.
