What is Solitaire Cash?
Solitaire Cash is a mobile app for iOS and Samsung devices that allows you to play solitaire games for cash prizes.
Solitaire Cash was created by Papaya Gaming, a mobile game developer that’s based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Papaya Gaming also owns the Bubble Cash app. You can download the game app for free and start playing games to win real money.
The app matches you with other players within the same skill level, and you all get the same deck. Those who finish in the top 3 win.
According to the app’s developers, “We’ve carefully designed the game to have a smooth and modern feel to it and threw in some classic, Klondike Solitaire game elements we all love.”
How Does Solitaire Cash Work?
The premise of Solitaire Cash is simple. You play solitaire for the chance to win money.
Here’s a little more detail on how it works:
The first step is to get the app. Solitaire Cash is available for iOS devices through the App Store, and for Samsung phones through the Galaxy Store.
Here’s where you can get the app:
Once you have the app, you’ll be able to start playing in tournaments.
Play solitaire
Here’s how to play solitaire games on Solitaire Cash:
Advertisements
- Drag cards in the tableau, which are seven piles that make up the main table, to build sequences in descending order and alternating color.
- If you uncover an ace, then place it first in one of the foundation piles, which are four piles at the top of the board.
- You can start building sequences of the same suit in each foundation pile, chronologically, from ace to king.
- Then, if you can no longer move any of the face-up cards, you can simply tap the stockpile to see if it has any good cards for you to play.
- Continue to move cards from the tableau to the foundation piles and stack them up until you reach the highest card possible in each pile.
- If you have no more cards to play, then you can submit your score, and get a bonus for finishing early.
- The faster you clear the board, or get as close to clearing it as possible, the higher your ranking will be on the Leaderboard, and the larger the prize will be.
Freeroll tournaments
One option that Solitaire Cash offers are freeroll tournaments. Just as their name suggests, freeroll tournaments don’t require cash to play. Instead, these games require you to use gems that you earn over time as an entry fee. Gems can be earned simply by playing games on the app.
Freeroll tournaments are good because they allow you to play the game for free and you also get the chance to win cash. You can typically win around $7 for winning free roll tournaments.
However, the downside of the freeroll tournaments is that it can take a long time to earn enough gems to actually be able to enter these freeroll tournaments.
Pay to enter tournaments
The second type of game available on Solitaire Cash is paid tournaments.
It’s important to note that pay-to-enter tournaments aren’t available in these states:
- Arizona
- Arkansas
- Indiana
- Iowa
- Louisiana
- Maine
- Maryland
- Montana
- South Carolina
- South Dakota
If you live outside of those states though, you’ll be able to enter cash tournaments. These paid tournaments give you the chance to win larger cash prizes.
To enter these tournaments, you need gems and your own money. Entry fees are usually between $1 and $5 and require some gems too. You can deposit money to Solitaire Cash through PayPal or Apple Pay.
When you play against other players, your screen and games are individual, but it’s the player who completes the game with the highest score and in a faster time that beats the other players.
How Much Cash Can You Win on Solitaire Cash?
If you win on Solitaire Cash, then you can cash out your earnings to PayPal. But, if you lose one of the paid-to-enter tournaments, then you will also lose the money that you deposited to enter the tournament.
Freeroll tournaments typically pay around $7. With the paid tournaments, most prize pools range from $7 to $50, but they can be as high as $83. To win, you will need to finish in the top 3.
Solitaire Cash Reviews
I read a lot of Solitaire Cash app revies form former and current players and while the majority of reviews were on the positive side, there were some negative sentiments as well.
Below, I’ll cover some of the pros and cons of Solitaire Cash.
Pros
Here are the pros of Solitaire Cash:
- PayPal payments available. This is always convenient.
- There are free-to-play games available that allow you to win cash prizes.
- It has a high rating on the App Store and the Galaxy store.
Cons
Here are the cons of Solitaire Cash:
- If you deposit money to enter paid tournaments, and you don’t win, then you will lose that money.
- Some users are concerned that they are playing against bots and not real players.
- The earning potential isn’t particularly high. Although this is typical of many paid gaming apps.
Is Solitaire Cash Legit?
Solitaire is a legit app, but it’s not without its problems.
Solitaire Cash has a pretty stellar 4.6-star rating on the App Store and a 4-star rating on the Galaxy Store. It’s actually the number 1 casino game on the App Store as well.
Despite those positive stats, there are some concerns from users about Solitaire Cash about things like the fact there’s no way to determine if you’re actually playing against other players or just bots and that to have a chance at winning those larger prizes, you have to deposit money, which you could lose.
Mostly, the reviews are positive, but there are some negative ones. One reviewer on the App Store says:
“SCAM!! LIARS AND THIEVES!!!! If you want to win money then don’t play for money. If you deposit money you will not win it back. This is a gambling game run by computers that are programmed to make the developers the most money, It is not a fair game, it is definitely rigged, which anyone who deposits money will soon find out.
Played this game for a few months, spent a lot of money. I usually only play the gems, the dollar and sometimes the $3-$7, occasionally I’ve spent up to $10 a game. But in all my experience of hundreds and hundreds of games I’ve never been able to get a deposit of actual money. I’ve played this game so much I am an expert. I should win more times than not. THE ONLY WINNERS ARE THE DEVELOPERS!”
Overall Verdict
Overall, Solitaire Cash is a legit app that many people enjoy using to play solitaire.
The problem though comes with those paid tournaments. In order to enter those, players have to deposit their own money, and there’s no guarantee that they’ll actually get this money back. This draws parallels to gambling. You’re putting money in for a chance to win!
So, you could actually end up losing money, rather than making money and that’s really not what you want from a money-making venture!
If you are going to try making money on Solitaire Cash, I would recommend you only enter those freeroll tournaments. These only require Gems to enter, so you don’t risk losing any money.
Solitaire Cash won’t make you rich, but if you want to win a few extra bucks here and there, then give those freeroll tournaments a try. Stay away from the pay-to-enter ones though, as they are really not worth the risk. The prize pool isn’t even that larger, and certainly not worth losing money on.
Overall, Solitaire Cash is legit, but the earning potential is pretty low with this one and there’s a risk that you’ll lose money if you play those pay-to-enter tournament games.
