What is RebateKey?
It’s a website that gives you cashback on a variety of items. You purchase any item listed on the website and you can get a rebate on it.
You can sign up on the website at rebatekey.com.

Step 3: Buy the product and get your rebate
Once you’ve found a product you like, you will need to purchase it. It’s really simple to do. Just click on the product you want, and you’ll be taken to the product detail page. Click on the blue “Buy Product” button.
After you’ve purchased the product, you will need to report back with your Rebate Key. This is your order number (write down your order number when you make a purchase). Make sure you report your purchase in less than an hour.
Once the seller verifies your order, they’ll approve your rebate and the rebate amount will be credited to your account.
This credit shows in the “Wallet” section of your account. RebateKey then holds the funds for 35 days. The website says it does this to make sure there’s no error or problem.
After 35 days, you’ll get a check.
How Does the RebateKey Browser Extension Work?
As I mentioned above, RebateKey also has a money saving shopping browser extension that you can use.
Here’s how it works:
- Download the app (link again here in case you missed it earlier). In the Chrome web store, click “Add to Chrome,” and then “Add extension” to install the app.
- Shop on Amazon. Then the extension will automatically find, highlight, and apply rebates and coupons.
- Get instant savings. The extension will apply the coupon or rebate and you’ll save money!
How Much Money Can You Get from RebateKey?
As you saw above, you can get 100% cashback on many items on the website.
This means that you get ALL of your money back. You basically get the product for free.
Amazing right?
How much money you get will depend on:
- How many items you buy.
- The cost of each item.
- The cashback percentage you get.
How Does RebateKey Make Money?
The company makes its money from the fees it charges Amazon sellers. For every customer rebate claim, the Amazon seller pays $2.95 in commission to the company.
Why would sellers pay a fee for selling their own products?
Because RebateKeys gives exposure to their products and brings them, new customers, that otherwise, they might have not gotten. It really is as simple as that!
Just so there is no confusion, as a shopper, you don’t have to pay a dime in fees or anything like that. For you, it’s all free! You just buy products and claim your rebate.
Is RebateKey Legit?
The website has an A- rating with the BBB. There was only one customer review on there though.
RebateKey is highly praised in this Reddit thread, with one user saying:
- “RebateKey has seriously improved my life. This might sound like one of those too good to be true things, but let me explain. This site gets you 100% rebates and *very* steep discounts on 1000’s of Amazon products. I’ve been using it for a couple years and have never not gotten my rebate (PayPal or check). You do have to wait 35 days to make sure you don’t return what you buy, but that’s not a big deal at all.”
Overall Verdict
Overall, if you’re looking to save money, RebateKey is the website for you.
Not only does the platform provide huge savings, like 50% cashback, but you can also get free stuff on Amazon and other places.
Sure, the 35 day wait before you receive the rebate and the fact the website pays you by check is slightly annoying.
But not so much that it should put you off the website.
There are so many pros to the site such as:
- Up to 100% cashback
- Tons of products available
- Products from big stores like Walmart and Amazon available on there
- You aren’t required to leave reviews
Overall, if you’re looking to save money when shopping online or want to get free stuff, then give RebateKey a try.
As you can see from this RebateKey review, it’s definitely worth signing up for!

I haven’t received a rebate for the last three items I purchased through Rebatekey which happens to be the most expensive items I’ve purchased through their system. Immediately after purchasing I sent an email with screenshots of my purchases with order #’s as they asked for and they say they can’t verify the order through their system which is the reason I emailed them in the 1st place. Their system wouldn’t allow me to enter my order #s. However screenshots showing items that are in their system were purchased by me and delivered aren’t acceptable verification?
