Fun fact: The “father” (for at least the English version) of this word game is Norman E. Gibat who designed and published the first Word search (also referred to as Word Find, Word Seek, Word Sleuth, WonderWord or Mystery Word Puzzle) in the Selenby Digest on March 1, 1968, in Norman, Oklahoma. They had (and still have) dedicated sections in newspapers and magazines. But these days you can find actual Word Search books that have 100s of puzzles within them. Of course, there are also digital versions where you can play them online or print them to play using pen and paper.
