3. Amazon Prime Samples – Free General Samples
- Where to get it: https://www.amazon.com/samples
If you shop on Amazon a lot, then you might want to check out Amazon Prime Samples.
With it, you can get individual samples and sample boxes sent to you.
This program differs from the others on this list. Rather than simply getting sent the samples, you have to pay for them.
Sample boxes range in price from $4.99 to $19.99.
And, individual samples cost from $2 to $4.
After you purchase a sample, Amazon will give you a credit back, which is equal to the price you paid for it.
You’ll get a credit back for every sample that you try. Although you pay for the samples upfront, you are reimbursed – so you get the products for free!
So, if you try a beauty sample box worth $19.99, then you’ll get the $19.99 back in credit.
Credit can be put towards the purchase of full-sized products in the category you sampled. After your sample has shipped, you’ll get the credit – and you don’t have to redeem promo codes or anything like that.
Amazon automatically applies sample credits during the checkout process.
We have a full review of Amazon Prime Samples, which goes into detail about how the program works, and what types of samples you can get.
To participate in the Amazon Prime Samples program, you’ll need to be a member of Prime. Membership only costs $9.99 a month, and it can save you a lot of money, even if you only buy a few things from the platform each month.
Make sure you check out our Amazon Prime review to learn more about the benefits.

Other Sites to Get Free Subscription Boxes to Try
As with most companies, subscription services also run special promotions from time to time when they give free sample boxes or huge discounts to new customers.
But these promotions usually run for a limited time so you have to be quick. For example, Lola used to offer a free box of 100% organic tampons, pads, and/or liners, but the promotion has ended.
The good news is that companies run these promotions all the time. so if you missed it once you can catch it next time.
The companies listed below had free sample box offers in the past but they don’t at the time of this writing. But you can be sure that they will run these promotions again.
- LOLA: Free tampons and/or pads.
- Gwynnie Bee: Free plus size rental clothes.
Pro tip
Keep your eyes open for free samples from these companies especially around the holidays as they ramp up promotions which include giving out free stuff and deep discounts.
