In today’s post, I’ll be covering some of the best paid survey sites in Canada.
Surveys are one of the best and easiest ways to make money online. Anyone can participate in online surveys and earn extra cash.
These days there are dozens of websites and apps that’ll pay you for taking surveys. However, many of them are only available to US residents. So if you live in other countries, your choices are very limited.
However, if you live in a few of the western countries with bigger economies (more companies means more market research studies!), such as Australia, the U.K. and Canada, you are not totally out of luck.
We have already published a post with a list of the best paid survey sites in the U.K.
If you’re Canadian, you may have found it tough to find sites that allow Canadian residents to participate in surveys.
FreeCash: It pays you to test apps, play games & take surveys. Get paid up to $497.82 per offer! Start Earning!
Earn Haus: Earn up to $25 per survey. Plus same-day payments via PayPal, Venmo & Check! Join Earn Haus!

Thankfully, there are some good survey sites out there that do accept Canadian members.

How Much Do Canadian Surveys Pay?
Are online paid surveys worth it?
Well, it depends on what you are looking for. If you are wondering, “how can I make $500 fast“, then no, surveys are not worth it since while you can certainly make $1000 or more, it won’t be instant.
But if you are looking to make some extra cash in your spare time, then yes, online surveys are a great option.
The amount of money you earn depends on how many surveys you take and the site you use.
Here are some examples:
- Survey Junkie: Up to $3 per survey.
- Opinion Outpost: Up to $5 per survey
- Ipsos i-Say: $0.10 to $1 per survey.
- Swagbucks: $0.40 to $5 per survey with the occasional survey offering as much as $50.
Some surveys pay $50 or even $100s but this isn’t typical. Most of the time, you’ll earn from $0.25 to $5 per survey.
Tips for Success with Paid Surveys
Here are some tips you should keep in mind when taking surveys.
Sign up for multiple survey websites
Sign up for a few different survey sites. Doing this increases the number of surveys available to you that you actually qualify for which gives you more opportunities to make money online with surveys.
Set up an email account solely for survey sites
If you are signing up for multiple survey sites, and you should be, then you might want to consider setting up a separate email address. This will ensure that your regular inbox doesn’t get cluttered with emails about surveys.
Avoid Scams
A legit survey site will never make you pay to join. If a site asks you to pay a fee to sign up or to participate, then it is likely a scam. Similarly, don’t share any sensitive data like your Social Security Number, driver’s license number, credit card details, or bank details with any site or app.
Closing Thoughts
Taking surveys can be a good way to make some extra money online in Canada or any other place on earth. Give these sites a try and you can bring in a little cash. Sure, survey sites are not going to make you rich. But that’s not the point of them. They are ideal for supplementing your regular income though. So do give them a try.

Melissa
I have enjoyed Swagbucks in the past. I stuck with it for a few months, and even participated in a survey about butter, where they sent me 4 different types of butter in the mail, and there was a detailed discussion board with a moderator that asked specific questions about the labeling, among other things. That was the most I earned on that site, about $40 for an amazon gift card. I stopped participating due to not meeting requirements for surveys after a while. I’m unsure of why that happened, but I eventually stopped doing them. Another site I tried was Survey Junkie, which had the same issue over time. I also participated in a survey that had me do a virtual grocery store review where I was supposed to be purchasing dog food, and they asked detailed questions about the labeling and placement of it in the store. All were very interesting, and had I not been unable to qualify to take most surveys, I might still be participating in them. Overall in about 4 months I made about $60 in surveys, all in gift cards of my choosing.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Melissa. I am glad you earned a little extra cash and gift cards. And really, surveys sites are for that. Just to make a little extra cash on the side.
