Albertsons check cashing service has a $1,000 limit. Many stores are open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. too, so you can cash a check when you need to.

The Money Services website actually has a section where you can enter the value of your check and it will show you how much you can expect to pay. When I did this, I found that the fee was $4 with a Shopper’s card for checks worth up to $2,000, and $4.50 without a card for checks worth up to $2,000. For checks worth between $2,000.01 and $5,000, the fee was $7 with a Shopper’s card and $7.50 without a Shopper’s card.
So, while fees start at $3, they can be up to $7.50.

City Market has 35 retail stores in the United States. You can find City Market stores in Colorado, Wyoming, and Ohio. It is owned by Kroger. So, you can cash checks at the Money Services center and expect to pay anywhere from $3 to $7.50 to cash a check.
