How much money can I earn?
You can earn $14 to $25 an hour, depending on your teacher rating on the site and your qualifications.
If you teach three full lessons within your first month, you can also earn a $300 bonus.
Your earning vary by how many students you take on. In the beginning, it might be hard to fill slots, however, it gets easier as your reviews go up.
“I was able to fill 19 spots, only work approx. 3 hours (due to Student No-Show’s) and make about $104 for classes, but a total of $995 in my first month with the peak time subsidy and New Teacher Bonus additions,” said one Reddit reviewer.
What is the work like?
Some of the benefits of the work are flexible scheduling and easy preparation.
You get to set your own work schedule and work as many or as few hours as you’d like. Keep in mind that each class needs to be 25 minutes in length.
You can set your class times at any time during the day, however, it is best you schedule your classes during 7 PM to 9 PM on weekdays because that’s when the most students are using the platform.
They also provide you premade lesson plans, so you don’t have to write your classes from scratch. However, it is recommended that you have teaching props ready and that you review your class slides before beginning so that you know what you are teaching that day.
The classes are one-on-one, so you don’t have to deal with lots of students all at once. You will need to write up some feedback within 12 hours after the class to describe how the class went and how your student is progressing.
You should also mention:
- What you covered in class
- What the student did
- What the student needs to study
- Instructions on how to go about practicing
This will be given to the parents so that they can help with homework and ensure that their child is progressing.
Which students you teach is random, and you might not end up teaching the same students every time. For instance, some students sign up through trial and therefore you won’t see them again unless they sign up for the site and rebook your classes. However, if a student likes your teaching style, then they will likely rebook your classes specifically.
Your work with the site lasts on a six-month basis as written in their independent contractor contract. You can renew this contract once the six-month period is finished.
Join Smart Panel and share your experince on how you use the internet. They pay you $5 for installing their free app & $5 a month just for keeping it, plus loyalty bonus every three months! .

Gogokid reviews by other users
The majority of teachers who work for the site have positive things to say about their experience.
The main positives they list about the job is:
- Flexible schedule
- Good pay
- Easy to prepare classes
- Good customer service
The cons that most teachers list is:
- Slow booking when you first start
- Slow hiring process
“I enjoy working here because of the flexibility of choosing your own hours. The pay is very good. It is a new company and has had some kinks to work out. However, I’m very pleased with this company. They offer lots of incentives. The students are a joy to work with. Just like with almost any job, it does take some time to move up the ladder. Bookings can be slow, but be patient because they do pick up. My bookings are very steady now,” said one Glassdoor reviewer.
Gogokid vs VIPKID
There isn’t really that much difference between the two platforms. In fact, most companies that offer ESL teaching jobs operate somewhat similarly. They have certain qualifications that you need to meet. Then you fill out their online application and if accepted, you can start teaching.
As for the pay, obviously most platforms have a different pay rate, but they all fall in the $10 to $25 per hour range.
Overall, Gogokids is a great resource for teachers who want to earn cash by teaching classes online.
The lessons are easy to prepare and it has a lot of students on the site looking for teachers.
