Listia was great, until they started promoting the “buy credits instantly” option, and raising the credit to $ value ratio.
Now, people just buy and use credits, and don’t bother taking 10x as long to EARN the same amount, someone can buy, and use instantly.
So, it’s virtually like any other cash to buy auction site.
It’s not free, if you have to BUY credits, to get enough credits to compete with others that buy them.
It is possible to get free stuff on listia, but only low quality stuff no one really wants, like unknown variety tomato seeds, vs rare variety tomato seeds that market gardeners will bid high for.
Yeah, that’s what I don’t like about these sites. They all start with a great idea and do good for a while until they start to get famous and big. Then all of a sudden they change everything so they can make more money and basically forget their original goals and ideas that made the site successful and popular in the first place.
