What is Flash Rewards?

Flash Rewards is a reward website that’s owned by Deliver Technology, LLC. It claims to provide rewards ranging from $100 to $1,000 to people who complete a set number of deals. These rewards are offered in the form of gift cards for popular retailers.

How Flash Reward Works

Here’s how you can earn money by completing offers through Flash Rewards…

Step One: Sign up for the website

To get started you’re going to want to head on over to their website at flashrewards.co and register. You must be 18 years old and a resident of the United States in order to join the platform.

And, you must provide accurate and complete registration information.

Step Two: Complete the required number of deals

Okay, so Flash Rewards isn’t like Swagbucks where you earn for playing free games or taking surveys. Instead, you have to complete deals to unlock rewards.

Each reward has a set number of deals you have to complete in order to obtain it.

Now, the website has “Levels” and the term “Level” refers to a group of deals.

Each level requires you to complete a certain number of deals to progress to the next level.

• $5 reward: This requires you to complete one Level 1 and one Level 2 Deals (2 deals total).
• $100 reward: This requires the completion of one Level 1, one Level 2, and three Level 3 Deals (5 deals total).
• $250 reward: This requires completion of one Level 1, one Level 2, three level 3 deals and five level 4 deals (10 deals total).
• $500 reward: This requires completion of one Level 1 deal, one level 2 deal, three Level 3 deals, five Level 4 deals, and five Level 5 deals (15 deals total).
• $750 reward: This requires completion of one Level 1 deal, one level 2 deal, three Level 3 deals, five Level 4 deals, and ten Level 5 deals (20 deals total).
• $1,000 reward: This requires completion of one Level 1 deal, one level 2 deal, three Level 3 deals, five Level 4 deals, and fifteen Level 5 deals (25 deals total).

What deals do you have complete?

Some of the deals the site offers are free. However, many deals require a purchase or entering a paid subscription program for goods and services to complete.

This means that in order to complete a deal, you may have to pay for an app or subscription service, for example.

Deals may include:

• Downloading and playing free online games.
• Subscribing to products and services
• Signing up for free trials
• Trying new monthly subscription boxes
• Discovering entertainment services
• Trying apps

You will need to complete the required number of deals within 20 days from the date that you complete your first deal unless the deal requires longer than 20 days to earn credit. If the deal does require longer than that, then you will get the period of time required to earn the deal credit, plus an extra 20 days.

Step Three: Get your reward

You can check your progress on Flash Rewards by tapping the blue icon to see which deals you have completed. It may take a few minutes to verify and display your completed deals.

Once you have completed the required number of deals, you will be able to claim your reward. Click on the “Claim Reward” button and the website will guide you through the claims process, which requires ID verification. You’ll need to start this process within 10 days of completing the required number and categories of deals, and you must complete it within 30 days.

Usually, it takes the Flash Rewards customer service team 5 to 7 days to verify and deliver your reward.

There are a few different reward options available.

When you sign up for the site, you’ll be able to choose from:

• Amazon gift card
• eBay gift card
• Walmart gift card
• VISA gift card

How the app works

Flash Rewards also has an app. This works slightly differently from the website, although both are owned by the same company Discovery Technologies LLC. The app gives you coins for playing games and using apps on your phone. You can redeem your coins for gift cards.

Is Flash Rewards Legit?

Flash Rewards does have a lot of complaints about it online.

Head on over to the company’s Trustpilot page and you’ll see that it has a pretty mixed rating of 3.7 stars. This is an “Average” rating.

Many people on there are claiming it’s a scam.

One user says:

• “I completed every level, whenever I go to claim my reward it says I haven’t completed enough. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM! I should’ve known better.”

Another user says:

• “I have completed everything I was required to in order to get the £750 via PayPal but it is not updating to say that I have done this. I have spent a lot of time and some money trying to complete it for nothing.”

One user says:

• “Took me over a week to complete tasks.. did more then I was required and wasted my time because I never received the reward!!!!”

There were some good reviews of the company too, but enough bad ones to make it seem as though Flash Rewards may not be a legit platform.

The Flash Rewards app is rated better than FlashRewards.co. On the Google Play store, the Flash Reward app has 4 stars and more than 9,000 ratings. That being said, there were still complaints about redeeming rewards.

One user says:

• “Waste of time. When you get ready to cash in your coins for a gift card it won’t let you. It asks for your phone number and when I put it in it keeps saying this phone number is already registered.. won’t respond to my emails with either !!!!”

I saw a lot of reviews like that, which really isn’t ideal. If you’re putting time and effort into something, then you should be able to get your hard-earned rewards.

Is Flash Rewards Worth It?

Okay, so is Flash Rewards actually worth your time? Or should you give the website a miss?

Let’s take a look at some pros and cons.

Pros

Let’s start out with the pros, or more like a pro, because there’s really only one that I can see…

Lots of reward options on offer

The website has everything from VISA cards to Amazon.com gift cards on offer. It’s always good when a company provides a selection of different rewards.

Cons

Okay, so now, Flash Rewards has quite a few downsides.

Many of the deals require payment

It’s not unusual for a reward website to offer paid deals where you have to sign up for a paid subscription service or pay for an app.

That being said, these websites tend to give you other ways to earn money too like by watching videos or taking surveys.

The problem with Flash Rewards is that the way you earn gift cards is by completing deals and many of these require payment. If you don’t want to have to part with money, this really isn’t ideal. Also, when you factor in the time you’ve spent completing these deals, as well as the financial cost, that reward offered may not be worth it.

You give away a LOT of information

You’re having to give so much information about yourself to the company, and that does bring up some privacy concerns.

The company may even profit from your data. The Flash Rewards privacy policy states:

• “We may share and/or sell Information that we have about users in many ways and for many purposes, for which we may be compensated.”

You may receive cold calls

Be really careful with this one. In the Flash Rewards Terms and Conditions, I, rather concerningly, found this:

• “Where you provide “prior express written consent” within the meaning of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”), you consent to receive telephone calls, including artificial voice calls, pre-recorded messages and/or calls delivered via automated technology, and text and SMS messages to the telephone number(s) that you provided from us and the Marketing Partners.”

Now, in fairness, the company also says:

• “You are not required to provide this consent to earn a Reward or purchase any of the other goods or services offered on the Flash Rewards Websites.”

Still though, the idea that the company is making these telemarketing calls and text messages is a bit of a red flag. So I would be really careful with what you consent to. There are quite a few mentions of phone calls in the company’s Terms and Conditions.

Limited earning options

Basically, the only way to earn money through the website is by participating in these offers. This is pretty lacking behind platforms like Swagbucks and Qmee which allow you to earn for other tasks, such as watching videos, shopping online, and sharing your receipts.

The app does allow you to also earn for playing games and trying mobile apps. But, it’s still not as varied in its earning options as its peers.

Overall Verdict

Overall, I would skip Flash Rewards. It seems to have a LOT of issues when it comes to payment. When you see that many people complaining about not getting paid, that suggests a real problem with a company.

FlashRewards.co requires you to complete anywhere from 2 to 25 deals before you get any rewards and many of these deals ask you to pay first. That’s not the best option for making money online.

Yes, the app is better rated, and you can play games on there for coins you can redeem for rewards, but there were still complaints from numerous users saying that they haven’t been paid.

If you put time and effort into something, you deserve to be paid. I would highly recommend Swagbucks over Flash Rewards because it does have offers and deals that you can complete to earn rewards, but it will also allow you to earn in other ways that don’t require you to spend money upfront, such as by playing games, trying free apps, and watching videos.

And, Swagbucks is actually known to pay out.
