Today’s review is about Drop, a loyalty program app that rewards you for your everyday spending.
Loyalty programs are amazing!
Who doesn’t want to earn gift cards and free stuff for spending money?
In fact, 63% of shoppers are enrolled in reward programs, but only 19% actually use the programs regularly, according to Accenture.
Good thing the Drop app makes it totally easy rake in benefits from all your debit and credit cards!
Join InboxDollars for free. InboxDollars pays you to watch videos, search, shop, take surveys, and more. They have paid out $57 Million so far!
Here’s all you need to know to start earning cash rewards with Earn with Drop programs…
What is Drop?
It is a free mobile rewards app with +500,000 members.
It allows you to collect points on top of your existing rewards programs.
A lot of people find loyalty programs confusing, but the Drop app is foolproof.
There’s no loyalty card to lose, and it is absolutely free!
You set it and forget it until it is time to cash in.
Where to get it:
Although they do have a website, there is no web application for it. You can only access your account via the app.
How does Drop Work?
The app is only available in the U.S. and Canada.
You earn rewards on your daily purchases made with linked credit and debit cards in five easy steps.
- Step 1: Visit EarnWithDrop, enter your phone number to get a text with the link to install the app.
- Step 2: Link any (or all) of your debit and/or credit cards to the app.
- Step 3: Select your favorite stores.
- Step 4: Earn points for all purchase at the selected stores with any of your linked cards.
- Step 5: Redeem your points.
Your points will appear in your account after five days of completing the task.
The good news is that unlike with many other sites, points do not expire!
There are also other ways, besides linked cards, to earn points (more on that later!)
Choosing your stores
The amount of points earned per $1 spent at each store varies.
You can choose to earn points when spending money at the following stores:
- Trader Joe’s
- Peet’s Coffee & Tea
- Dunkin’ Donuts
- Urban Outfitters
- Bath & Body Works
- Whole Foods
- Chipotle Mexican Grill
There is no published, static list of points earned per dollar spent, but users have reported earning:
- 8 points per $1 spent at McDonald’s
- 8 points per $1 spent at Walgreens
- 12 points per $1 spent at Starbucks
- 8 points per $1 spent at Target
- 2 points per $1 spent at Walmart
- 15 points per $1 spent at Uber
Drop allows you to choose 5 retailers to earn points from.
Since the points earned for each store vary over time, be sure to pick the ones you shop at most.
This way, you can earn as many points as possible.
Earning the maximum points
There are some tips and tricks for raking in points:
1. One-time Offers
Be sure to keep an eye out for one-time offers under the “Discover” tab.
One-time offers earn you extra points on your purchases.
2. Refer your friends and family
You also can earn points for referring friends.
If a friend joins Drop with your invite code, you earn 1,000 points.
You can earn up to $100 by inviting friends.
3. Play The Supercharge Game
After every five transactions, you will have a chance to play the Supercharge bonus game.
You play by swiping in the direction that you’d like the Supercharge snake to move.
Choose correctly and you will quickly earn some bonus points.
4. Take advantage of ongoing offers
The app also contains ongoing offers that change over time.
Currently, you can earn up to 100,000 points every time you book a hotel with Rocketmiles.
5. Link more cards to earn more points
Be sure to link all your cards so you don’t accidentally miss out on free points because you used a card that wasn’t linked.
6. Choose your stores wisely
You’ll earn points from money spent at the stores you link to your account so choose wisely, you cannot choose again or change your stores.
Redeeming your points
One of the best things about earning with Drop is that you can redeem your points for free gift cards instantly.
The app has partnered with a variety of retailers.
At 5,000 points, you can redeem a $5 gift card for:

How much money can you really make with Drop?
There’s no limit to the points you can earn with this app.
If you allow notifications from the app, not only will you earn an extra 50 points but you will also know when new offers become available.
Offers and bonus points aside, you can earn cash back on your purchases (2-15%), depending on which stores you chose as your favorites.
This is a really easy form of passive income.
It usually takes users two months to earn their first reward.
Reviews by other users
While doing the research for this post, I came across a lot of reviews and ratings, especially on Reddit.
Lots of users claim to have made more than $300 in gift cards from the app in a few months. I have no way of verifying that.
Most users agree that the app is an easy way to earn passive income.
Some potential users are leery of linking all their accounts to this one app. But, your information is secure because the app uses bank-level 256-bit encryption.
Many users are demanding more offers and participating retailers.
The company is listening (like all good companies should!)
The company has promised to reveal exciting partnerships in the near future.
The app has even opened a Public Roadmap for suggestions and feedback.
Is drop app safe?
This is one of the main concerns for most people since they have to link their credit cards to earn.
The good news is that Drop is totally safe and secure.
The app uses the same encryption as your bank.
Your transactional and personal data is protected by both hardware and software encryption.
Now, the app does share some information with partners. I assume that’s how Drop makes money.
That said, they don’t provide your personal information to any third-party. The share anonymous aggregate information that companies can use for product development and marketing.
Is it worth it?
It is hard to think of a reason not to participate in this amazing reward program.
Drop is totally free and completely easy to use.
It is the first app of its kind.
The cross-merchant interface makes it easy to access and redeem points.
