How to Earn Disney Movie Insiders Points
Earning points is quite simple.
Advertisements
You have a few options as far as earning points go.
But before we get to that, let me show you how you can get your first free 25 points instantly.
All you have to do (after creating your account) is go to your “My Account” page and complete your profile (billing address, delivery address, etc.) It takes less than 60 seconds and it gets you your first 25 points right away.
Here are other ways you can earn points:
1. Purchase eligible movies
Select movies will have Magic Codes inside them or on your purchase confirmation.
To add them to your account, log into your account and enter the codes near the header.
Sorry, digital movies are not eligible.
2. Purchase theater tickets
You can do this through participating vendors or submit eligible movie stubs online.
By linking your Disney Movie Insiders account to Fandango or Regal Entertainment Group, for example, you can streamline the rewards process.
If you choose to go old school, you can submit your movie ticket stubs by photo on the rewards website.
3. Participate in the Disney Challenge Game
After logging into your rewards account, click on “Earn Points” and then “Disney Trivia.”
New games are posted on the first and third Mondays of every month.
The top three highest scorers earn 50 free rewards points.
4. Take eligible surveys
From time to time, they may have surveys you can take for extra points.
The process for participating and getting compensated is the same as with any legit online survey panel.
Basically, you take the survey, answering (mostly) Yes and No questions. Your account gets credited with the appropriate number of points once you finish it.
At the time of writing this review, the two main surveys available are “Member Technology Survey” and “Tell Us About Yourself“. They take only moments and are worth 10 points each.
5. Look for more points opportunities
There are also other opportunities that become available from time to time.
For example, around holidays and special events, you may find new ways of earning points.
You can also join the free Disney Movie Insiders e-newsletters for more opportunities.
Also, don’t forget to follow them on social media as like many other companies, they offer exclusive earning opportunities and free rewards codes to their followers.
You can follow Disney Movie Insiders:

Customer Complaints
These were common complaints from users.
If you experience issues with the program, contact the comapny directly at 1-866-246-8646.
Missing points
The number one complaint I found was missing points.
Members have reported logging in after long periods of time only to find that the points they had been accumulating over months and years had just gone missing, with no warning.
While disturbing, it is possible that the points expired after the site’s 210-day threshold of inactivity.
Frozen account
Entering multiple invalid codes can freeze your account.
Be careful when entering codes, and be sure not to enter invalid ones or ones that have already been processed.
Points value fluctuation
Points needed to redeem awards may fluctuate.
Some users reported saving up for a specific item, which then jumped significantly in price when they went to claim the reward.
Technical issues
Some experience technical issues with connected vendors and points not appearing in their account.
Make sure you’re allowing a proper amount of time for those points to load before assuming the worst.
Manual submissions can take as many as 10-15 days to process.
If a receipt and proof of purchase are submitted, it could take up to 2-3 weeks.
Out of stock rewards
Some rewards can go out of stock. If that happens, they may come back in stock. However, it is not guaranteed.
Redemption limits
There is no daily limit to how many rewards can be redeemed per day, but some rewards can only be claimed a certain number of times by users.
Disney Movie Insiders Tips
Try these tips and tricks for a smooth rewards experience:
Stay active by logging in often. Your points expire after 210 consecutive days of inactivity.
Limit yourself to entering no more than 10 codes in a 24-hour period.
Connect your accounts for ease of use. Hooking Fandango up to your Disney Movie Insiders account is not only an easier way to collect eligible points, but it’s also faster. Points are usually loaded within 24 hours.
Troubleshoot technical issues by accessing the site from another browser if needed. You could also try clearing your browser’s cookies.
Ask family and friends for codes. If you have family and/or friends who are purchasing eligible items but not using their codes for rewards, they might consider passing them on.
WARNING: A Reddit forum for Disney Movie Insiders is rampant with posts about buying/selling/trading Magic Codes. Please be aware, however, that the practice is strictly prohibited by Disney, and that any related action may result in the breaking of your rewards member terms and conditions.
Is Disney Movie Insiders Worth It?
Yes!
If you are a Disney fan and buy their products often, you’d be crazy not to join this free movie loyalty program.
Without it, you’ll be missing out of basically free money.
I mean, if you’re already spending money on Disney products, you may as well use the Disney Movie Insiders program to get something back!
You are spending money on Disney products and services leaving free money on the table.
