Get Amazon Freebies with These 13 Tricks (Useful Stuff, Not Junk Samples!)

Advertisements

Use these hacks to get some useful freebies on Amazon...You already know that Amazon is a great place to find most anything you want to buy, and they even try and anticipate your needs with their clever algorithms. But they don’t seem to have sales or take coupons.

Still, to make up for that, you can get a number of Amazon freebies if you know where to look.

For example, there are many Amazon review sites where sellers offer their products for free or at a deep discount in exchange for your honest review.

How to Get Amazon Freebies

Here are a few Amazon tips and tricks that will help you score freebies on Amaozn.com.

1. Free Stuff via Vine

Did you know you can actually get free Amazon products in even major categories?

I am not talking about small samples or freebies here and there; I am talking about electronics, household items, tools, beauty supplies, etc.

Basically anything that is sold on Amazon, you may have a chance to get for free by becoming an Amazon Vine member. Read more about it in our post titled “How to Get Free Amazon Stuff by Becoming a Vine Reviewer“.

2. Free Apps

Amazon lists loads of free apps for your Android device.

Simply search for “apps” in the search box, and you will find apps on all sorts of subjects.

3. Free MP3 Downloads

If you search for “free music”, you will find about 1-1/2 million results.

Some of these are samplers, and others are complete tracks. There’s enough here to keep anyone entertained, and to appeal to any taste.

If you need even more choice, then you might consider subscribing to Amazon Prime which will give you even more songs for free.

4. Free or Cheap Music

There’s also a great selection of up-and-coming artists available, free or at low cost.

Simply search for “artists to watch”.

Tip: Sort by price low to high to see the best deals. Once again, if you have Amazon Prime you get more deals here.

5. Free TV Episodes

Amazon has tons of great free TV episodes, special content and movie extras that you can watch for free.

6. Free Movies

The giant retailer also has tons of free movies you can download and watch instantly.

7. Free Kindle Books

Every day there are thousands of Kindle books available for free.

Many authors run specials, where their book is available free for a couple of days in the hopes that they’ll get you to buy more of their books.

Some books are even “perma-free”, available all the time for nothing, again to drum up interest in the author.

8. Shop with Points

I didn’t even know this until I used one of the credit cards that Amazon has in the program.

If you have a points reward card, then you can use the points towards the cost of any item.

It gives you the option when you come to check out, and you can choose to use as many or as few points as you want, making up the difference with money if you have to.

There are a few items where points aren’t accepted, such as Kindle downloads, but if you see the option on your checkout page, why not use it?

9. Free Prime Student

Did you know you can get a free 6-month Amazon Prime Student membership?

All it takes is a .edu email address.

So if you are a student (or have someone in your family who is) register a free .edu email with your/their school’s website and you are set to enjoy the many benefits of Prime for 6 months for free.

If you are the first in your dorm to realize this, then try and persuade your friends to sign up through your link – Amazon give you $10 for every person you get into the program.

10. Free Albums

When you’re looking at the album listings on Amazon, just go to the Sort by box and select Low to High.

It will sort out all the albums from the lowest to the highest prices, and you’ll find a number of free ones at the start of the list. It’s always worth looking, as there’s a great variety of music.

11. Free Stuff for Reviews

If the freebies mentioned above aren’t what you are looking for, and you don’t have enough reviews under your belt to become a Vine member yet, there is another way you can get other, tangible Amazon products for free or heavily discounted–through Amazon review sites.

Amazon review sites basically connect Amazon sellers who want to give away their products in exchange for reviews to buyers who want to get free stuff and are willing to leave reviews.

You sign up with these sites (free), they send you the products for free, or give you a coupon code for up to 90% off.

You get the product, use it and leave an honest review based on your experience.

You can score tons of great stuff year around.

12. Free Shipping

You can get free shipping on Amazon any time you spend more than $35 at a time. Just make sure you have the right box selected when you check out.

It also applies, even if Amazon has to ship from two different locations.

Of course, if you have Prime, you get free two-day shipping, whether you subscribe or are just using the free trial.

13. Free MP3 Credits

There are tons of apps on Amazon, but some of them are special.

And if you buy these special apps, you will get a free $1 MP3 credit.

And if you think that $1 credit isn’t going to get you anything, think again; there are tons of MP3s that are selling for $1 or even less.

The Bottom Line

There are so many things for sale, you can spend a lot of money shopping on Amazon. But you don’t have to, as I hope you can see from all the free or cheap things on offer that are detailed above.

Amazon already provides great value and convenience, and these deals make it even better.
