The site, which was founded in 2016, claims to have 1 million members and that 2 million images are viewed each day.
You can sign up, share your photos, and earn money.
How Does Clickasnap Work?
How it works is pretty simple. You sign up, share photos, and get paid when someone views those photos.
The site says that it is free to join. And, it is. You can go ahead and create a free account there right now.
If you want to actually make money from your photos though, you will need to pay for a seller account. Clickasnap has a bunch of different membership options available.
These memberships cost between $3 and $7 per month if you pay for your membership monthly. You can save 40% if you pay for your membership annually.
Once you have paid for a seller account, you can start earning money each time someone views one of your photos.
It’s important to note that someone must view your photo for more than 5 seconds in order for it to count as a view that you get paid for.
Just add your photos to Clickasnap. Your photos are then displayed to users who visit the site. You earn money when someone views your photo.
How Much Does Clickasnap Pay?
How much you earn per view varies depending on your membership level. It can be 0.7 cents per photo ($0.007), 0.8 cents per photo ($0.008), or 0.9 cents per photo ($0.009).

This means that to make $1 from the site, you’d need to get anywhere from 111 to 143 views.
How does Clickasnap pay you?
Once your balance reaches $15, you can request a payout. The site pays you through PayPal.
Is Clickasnap Legit?
Clickasnap is a legit website that pays you for sharing your photos. However, it does have some downsides – namely the fact that users have to pay a membership fee if they want to earn money from the photos they share.
There are also some other concerns that users express, like the fact that sometimes their views aren’t counted.
Here’s how Clickasnap is rated on a few different platforms:
- Trustpilot: 3.8 stars, which is a “Great” rating.
- Sitejabber: 3.01 stars.
Reviews are average to positive. Many users say that they enjoy using the site.
One user on Trustpilot, says:
“Fantastic website. I have been with Clickasnap from the beginning but have only recently started to use it as a paid member and I am very happy with it. It is very good value for money, simple to use and the paid views are a brilliant idea and make the platform completely different. I would highly recommend the platform as an alternative to things like Flickr, 500px, etc.”
There are also quite a few negative reviews of the company.
One user on Trustpilot says:
“Misleading payouts. They advertise it as 0.4c per view. Leading you to believe it’s 40 cents but it’s actually 0.004 cents per view!!! And each photo has to be viewed for 5 seconds. It’ll take a lot of photo uploads and eligible views just to break even on the £2 a month. After 1 day I deleted my pics and canceled my subscription. Avoid and invest you £2 elsewhere.”
I also saw a few users complain that the site has recently become glitchy.
One user on Sitejabber says:
“This once was a very good site where amateur and semi-professional photographers could share their work with others. Last December they decided to introduce a completely rebuilt website which was clearly not tested at all. I can guess why they did it (avoid licensing fees for the old site?), but have in reality no idea who came up with this ‘brilliant’ plan to alienate their users. Now, almost a month later the site still contains many basic errors that should never have seen the light of day. Working with it is a nightmare and the site is barely usable. Clearly the developers responsible as well as ClickaSnap staff do not have a clue what they are doing.”
Some people say they enjoy using the site just to share their photography, rather than for making money.
Clickasnap Pros & Cons
In this section, I’ll cover the pros and cons of Clickasnap to help you decide whether or not the site is for you.
Pros
Here are the pros of the site:
- PayPal payments available.
- You can get paid just for views on your photos, rather than having to actually sell them.
- You can build a portfolio there.
Cons
Here are the cons of the site:
- You have to pay a membership fee if you want to earn money from your photos.
- Pay per view is low. It would take more than 100 views just to earn $1.
- It can take a while to reach the $15 payout limit.
Overall Verdict
Overall, Clickasnap is a legit app where users can share their images and get paid when they are viewed.
The trouble is that the pay per view is incredibly low. You need to get 1,000s of views just to earn $100.
There are lots of easier ways to earn money than by using Clickasnap.
If you can get 1000s of views and build up a good following, then this may be profitable for you. But, for many people, even reaching the $15 cash out requirement will likely be tough.
