Is MoneyCroc Legit or a Scam: An Honest Review of “Free Money” Site!

MoneyCroc, however, doesn’t pay you for doing these types of tasks. Instead, you visit the site and have the chance to win money if the two images on the homepage match.

How Does MoneyCroc.com Work?

The way the site works is pretty simple.

Step One: Visit MoneyCroc.com

Just head on over to MoneyCroc.com. The site is totally free to use, and you don’t even need to register or anything.

Step Two: See if you win

On the homepage, you’ll see a lot of ads, but also two images at the top. Above these images it will say, “If both images below are equal (for example: A7 = A7) you won $50!”

So, basically, if the images match up, you win money.

On the right side of the homepage, you will see a grey box where you can select the amount you want to win. You can choose from $50, $10, and $5.

When you first go to the site, the amount selected will be $50. So, if you change it the box will say the same thing about both images being equal, except it will state a different dollar amount.

If the images don’t match, you can click “Try Again!” to get another two images. Every time you click the “Try Again!” button, you are eligible to win free money. You have a daily limit of 50 attempts.

Step Three: Get an Amazon gift card if you win

If you win, you will get an Amazon eGift card. The site says that your eGift card will be sent to your email address in less than 24 hours and that it often only takes a few minutes.

Is MoneyCroc.com Legit?

It’s hard to say whether or not the site is legit.

On the plus side, MoneyCroc is totally free to use so you aren’t going to get scammed out of your money just by clicking “Try Again!”

There are some concerns I have with the site.

There’s no guarantee you’ll win anything

There’s no guarantee of you winning anything on MoneyCroc.com. This means that you could just be wasting your time on the site.

I’m always sort of suspicious about sites that claim to give away money just because. I know that legit companies, like Cash App for example, do giveaways where users can win free money but that’s not their whole business model. It’s just something they do occasionally.

When it’s a site’s sole business model it’s a little odd to me.

Now, MoneyCroc does have a little box on its homepage that explains why it gives out free money. It says:

• “Some companies spend half of their income on advertising. We give away HALF of our income in prizes. Our prizes are our advertising! It’s not an expense, it’s an investment. And it works better than traditional advertising. You win, we win.”

Make of that what you will. I can’t find much evidence that many people actually win money on there.

Lack of user reviews

I also couldn’t find many user reviews for the company online. This doesn’t inherently mean that there’s anything wrong with the site, but it’s not ideal.

There is a Trustpilot profile for MoneyCroc.com. It only features two reviews though.

This is what they had to say:

• “I won 50$ USD. I am Canadian and they deposited about 79$ cad. So lucky. Haven’t won again since.”
• “Never got some, dunno is it scam or not. There are some reviews on the net that some got vouchers, others playing it for a long time and nothing. For now, I got nothing.”

So, one MoneyCroc.com review is positive, and one is negative.

On Reddit, there are some mentions of the site, but most people say they haven’t won anything.

On this Reddit thread, users say:

• “I´ve been playing for about 7 days and got nothing out of it (didn´t really except to get paid that quick). You basically just keep reloading the website and check for two similar images.”
• “I’ve done it before for a while but never won anything lol.”

There’s pretty much no information available about the company

Most legit sites have a contact page, and it’s easy to find who the owners are. It does have a contact page, but there’s no actual contact information on there, and the page instead just asks you to enter your prize code.

I can’t find any information on who actually owns the site, so that’s not ideal.

The website doesn’t feature any of the usual policies or security features you’d expect to find on a legit site.

Most reward websites have both a Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions or Terms of Service page. This is typically buried in the site’s footer, but still, it’s available. That’s strange to me that MoneyCroc.com doesn’t have these pages.

Also, the website isn’t SSL encrypted, so any data transferred could be at risk.

Concern over ads

Another thing to be wary of is clicking on any of the ads on the site. So, MoneyCroc.com doesn’t bill itself as a pay per click website. So, you’re not under any obligation to click on the ads. But, just be aware that you never know where these links lead to, and they could lead to scam sites.

So is MoneyCroc a Scam?

I wouldn’t say MoneyCroc.com is a scam per se, it’s a legit site.

That said, overall, MoneyCroc.com doesn’t offer many earning opportunities. You can try to win up to 50 times per day, but there’s no guarantee that you will. So, you could just waste your time. There’s not much evidence out there to suggest that people win money on MoneyCroc.

Completing tasks on sites like Swagbucks, MyPoints, and InboxDollars is a much better way to earn extra money.
