Call Center QA
The company is called Call Center QA.
Call Center QA is a telecommunications group headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. It works with hundreds of companies and organizations across the U.S. to help them improve the quality and performance of their call centers.
The job is basically like a mystery shopping job, but instead of shopping at a store and reporting back your experience, you’ll make phone calls and report back your experience regarding the call, the person you talked to, their attitude, how helpful they were, etc.
So, this will be a perfect job for stay at home moms, students, disabled individuals, and practically anyone who is looking to make some money working from home.
The good news is that this company has a very relaxed and accommodating policy when it comes to allowing their contractors (you) to work hours that best their lifestyle.
Your job
You’ll be taken on as a “QA Evaluator” which is basically a phone-based mystery shopper.
What you’ll be doing is calling businesses and posing as a potential customer, but you’re actually just gathering data to write an evaluation on the way the businesses and their customer service representatives handle things – Are they nice, rude, courteous, knowledgeable?
After you finish a call, you write up a little review and send it CCQA.
They’ll read it and once they accept it, you get paid, which we’ll talk about exactly how much and when in a moment.

Is the work flexible?
Absolutely!
As I briefly mentioned earlier, the company is very accommodating when it comes to work schedule.
Doesn’t matter if you want to work during the day or at night, weekdays or weekend, they’ll work with you to find the best possible option for you.
As far as experience, it’s not a strict requirement, but they do give priority to those with prior customer service and call center experience.
They accept all kinds of applicants, but are particularly interested in those with diverse backgrounds since one of the major factors of conducting good mystery shopping assignments is having a diverse group of shoppers to represent the overall customer base.
Even though the requirements are pretty flexible, they do have two must have requirements.
Those are:
- You must have a phone (or phone-like service) that is capable of making calls.
- And you must be able to send and receive emails.
If you don’t have a phone, something like Google Voice or Skype should work, as well.
Scheduling
These positions are definitively part-time and intended to be done as supplemental rather than primary income.
The schedules are definitely flexible, but you won’t be working any graveyard shifts (after all, you need to be able to call businesses while they’re open!)
You won’t be an employee of the company. You’ll work as an independent contractor.
That means that if you do earn $600 or more in any given year, they will send you a 1099 form for taxes.
How much and how you get paid
They have a very simple and easy to track base pay.
For every cal you make and the subsequent report you file, you get paid $5.
You are paid within 24 hours to a week after submitting your report and it being approved.
The payment is made via PayPal.
Now, $5 per call sounds low, but each call usually takes less than 5 minutes or so and if you can hammer out 10-20 calls a week, that’s an extra $50-$100 a week for about 2 hours worth of work.
How to apply
Applying for the job is very easy.
Here is how:
- Go to http://www.callcenterqa.org/employment/
- Fill out the form at the bottom of the page and submit.
- After you register you will be taken to a thank you page. Bookmark that page for any future reference.
Once that’s done, you just have to wait to hear back.
There is absolutely no charge for registering.
The bottom line
Whether you already have call center experience or want to get some, this is an awesome work at home opportunity.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to earn some extra cash in their free time.
It’s a legitimate company that doesn’t charge you bogus fees to register you as a mystery shopper.
All you need is a phone and access to the internet so you can send and receive emails.
It pays and it pays on time. Heck, you can easily make enough money to cover your monthly phone bill.
