While there are some cheap housing options and ways to save money on your house, it seems like with rent, mortgage payments, and taxes, we’re always parting with money for our home. But did you know that there are actually places that will pay you to live there?
Really!
There are a few states and towns that pay you to move there which is a great way to save money when moving.
These payments are usually offered by government organizations looking to bring more people to their states and cities.
One notable place to do so was Vermont. Through the Remote Worker Grant program, people who worked remotely from a home office or co-working space in Vermont would get a grant if they moved to Vermont.
As of January 2020, the program is no longer taking applications but there are still plenty of other programs that are paying people to move.
