Unique Rewards Review: Scam or a Legit Way to Get Paid?

What is UniqueRewards?

UniqueRewards is a website that pays you to complete offers and tasks.

Things like:

• Shopping online – it offers cashback rebates
• Taking surveys
• Completing offers

There doesn’t appear to be an app available.

People from the following countries can use the site:

• United Kingdom
• Canada

How Does UniqueRewards Work?

You create an account on the website and you’ll be able to earn money.

Earn Money

The website offers you a few different ways to earn, such as:

Cashback shopping

The website offers rebates.

You can earn up to 50% cashback with cashback shopping.

Just choose the product you want, and the cashback will be credited to your UniqueRewards account.

There’s also a “Coupons and Deals” subsection which can offer greater savings with coupon codes.

Surveys

There are new surveys available daily. You can do consumer surveys or sign up for survey sites to get cash and win prizes.

Pay varies, but most pay up to $5 per survey.

Cash offers

Earn money and get deals on products and services. You can get offers in a variety of categories, like:

• Online and financial services
• Career and employment
• Educational
• Health and beauty
• Entertainment
• Dating

Just click on the offer that you’re interested in and you’ll be directed to the advertiser’s site. Simply complete the offer and you’ll get paid.

Your account is credited when the advertiser notifies UniqueRewards. This can take between two and 30 days.

Playing games

Get paid to play free games.

You get paid between 0.1 and 1 cent for each game.

You’ll get the reward credited to your account once you’ve played the game.

Watching videos

You can also earn money watching videos.

You’ll get $0.01 for each video watching. You can watch each video once a day.

Clicking ads

In the Click Cash Section, you can select an offer you’re interested in, click on it, visit the website and you’ll earn money. You get $0.01 for it.

You can visit each website once a day.

Reading emails

Getting paid to read emails sounds too good to be true, right? Well, it isn’t! That said, don’t expect to make a lot of money.

Get around 1 to 3 emails per day that include special offers and deals. Open up the email and confirm you’ve read it. You can earn even more money when you complete the offer from an advertiser.

Pay varies from $.25 to $50 plus depending on that particular offer payout.

Referring friends

You can earn money when you refer friends.

Here’s what you can earn:

• You get $1 when each of your referrals completes their first offer.
• Get $5 for every active referral. Every time a referral earns $20 or more, they get active status, and you earn $5. This is offered just once for one referral.
• Get 10% of the Qualified Earnings received by your referrals for your lifetime.

There’s no restriction to the number of referrals you can have.

Radio offer

Earn money while listening to the radio. Rewards are credited when you enter captcha codes. You’ll get paid for every captcha code you submit.

OfferWalls

Complete easy surveys and offers through OfferWalls. Your rewards are credited within 24 hours.

Getting Paid

Once you’ve completed some tasks on the website, you can cash out your earnings.

It’s important to note that in order to withdraw your money, you need to have $20 in your account.

How do you get paid?

Once your account reaches $20, you’ll be able to cash out your earnings.

To cash out your earnings, just click the “Request Payment” link in the “Balance” section.

There are a few payment options available:

• PayPal
• Bitcoin
• Check

The website says that in order to make sure users are from eligible countries, it reserves the right to ask users to request their first payment be made by check.

When do you get paid?

Payments are made on a weekly basis each Monday. So if you withdraw your earnings on Tuesday, your earnings will be sent on the following Monday evening. The website says that it doesn’t have a specific time for payments on Mondays, so for example one week it may pay you in the morning and the next week it may pay you in the evening.

How Does UniqueRewards Make Money?

UR doesn’t reveal how it makes money.

Like with most sites of this nature though, it’s likely that UR makes its money when it sends paying customers to clients.

For example, if you buy something from a furniture store, the store will give UR commission for sending you their way. UR then shares a part of this commission with you.

Similarly, when you sign up for an offer, the advertiser will pay UR a commission. This is how most reward sites work, so it’s likely to be the case with UR.

Is UniqueRewards Legit?

Um, no.

I don’t often say that because for the most part, the sites I review are legit. They have mostly good reviews online. Sure, it’s really uncommon that you come across a website that has absolutely no bad reviews at all.

Even legit companies like Swagbucks will have some bad reviews. You just can’t please everyone.

So just because a company has a few bad reviews among a ton of good ones doesn’t mean that it’s not legit.

When the overwhelming majority of a site’s reviews are bad though that’s a huge red flag.

Sadly, that’s the case with UniqueRewards.

Why you should AVOID UniqueRewards

Firstly, I couldn’t find any profile for the company on the BBB. The BBB is a good site for gauging a company’s legitimacy and how its users view it.

I did, however, come across reviews of the site on other platforms including Trustpilot, Reddit and Sitejabber.

Here’s what I found…

Sitejabber

Okay, so on Sitejabber, the website has a pretty abysmal 2.6 star rating.

The majority of reviewers on there claimed that UniqueRewards never paid them.

One reviewer says:

• “This survey site is not a good one to use. It takes forever to earn money/points and when you want to cash them in, they will not send you the money. I started trying to collect $20.01 that I had earned over a long period of time and still have not been paid. They claim they have issues with PayPal, then the accounting dept. I think they are scamming people to do these surveys and then not paying them for the time they spent doing the surveys. I am very disappointed in this company.”

Shockingly, a lot of users said that the company kept making excuses as to why payments were not made.

Trustpilot

On Trustpilot, where the site has a “Poor” rating of just 2.5 stars, it’s the same story with many reviewers complaining that the website simply doesn’t pay its users.

One user says:

• “They aren’t going to ever pay. They find lie after lie after lie after lie as to why they haven’t paid you. I was trying to make it to $50 to cash out for a check, and close my account but realized I was only making them money and wasting my time. I wish there were some way to make them pay us! They should NOT be in business at all.”

Reddit

Again, on Reddit, UniqueRewards is reviewed very poorly by users.

I found a couple of Reddit threads about the company and most of them were negative.

One user says:

• “Has anyone had experience with uniquerewards? I ask this because I have not received a payment from that I had requested a long time ago. I think they may be a scam.”

Overall Verdict

I would avoid this website at all costs.

If you are looking to make money online with things like cashback shopping or surveys, I’d recommend these legit sites instead:

• Swagbucks
• Mr. Rebates
• InboxDollars
• Qmee

The fact that it doesn’t pay out and keeps making excuses as to why, yet not actually fixing the issues is really poor.

When I write a review, I like to give an honest opinion and I will only recommend sites that I myself would feel comfortable using. I would not feel comfortable using UniqueRewards.
