Users can get $50 to sign up for the site. All users need to do is create an account by clicking on the purple, “$50 Signup Bonus” button on the site’s homepage.

While there are a lot of sites that pay you sign up bonuses, with reward sites it usually caps at around $10. Banks and credit card companies do give out big sign up bonuses, but this is just a reward site. That alone kind of raised my red flag radar!

Sharing your invite link with friends and family

Social Rebel says that you can earn money when you share your invite link with friends, family, and colleagues. The site says you can get $2 when your referrals click your invite link and $20 for every sign up.

Taking surveys

The website also claims that you can share your opinions, complete surveys, and earn cash. It says that there are “Hundreds of surveys available instantly.”

Testing apps

The website also claims that you can test out apps and games and get paid.

How Does Social Rebel Pay You?

Social Rebel states that it pays you by:

• Cash App
• Venmo
• Bitcoin
• And more.

Why Social Rebel is a scam?

If Social Rebel were legit, those options, like taking surveys and testing apps might seem like pretty good ways to earn a little extra cash, right?

After all, that’s why so many people love using websites like Swagbucks and QuickRewards, because they give you lots of easy ways to make money online.

Sadly, while Social Rebel might seem like it has a lot of money-making opportunities to offer users, it’s actually just a scam.

Here’s why:

Social Rebel has changed its URL

Social Rebel has changed its website from socialrebel.co to socialrebel.app. Now, sometimes sites do change their web address, but it’s not particularly common among reward websites.

If your site was doing well and getting a lot of visitors, then why change its address and make it harder for users to find? Unless, of course, it’s because you don’t want them to find the old site.

Now, perhaps it could be argued that Social Rebel just wanted to change its web address for a new one because it preferred the sound of SocialRebel.app or something like that.

But, I’m getting the impression that socialrebel.co was so poorly reviewed and had such a bad reputation online that the company wanted to cut ties with it altogether and start up a new site with a different address.

Of course, I don’t know this for sure, but it seems odd to me that the old URL, socialrebel.co doesn’t even redirect to the new site socialrebel.app.

Surely, if Social Rebel had changed its web address purely because it wanted to, and not in an effort to hide that users are less than impressed with it, then it would redirect its old address to the new one.

Like I said before, if your site was so legit and users loved it, you wouldn’t want to make it hard for your supposedly happy users to find it.

Also, it’s strange that when you view the old site on Wayback Machine, it looks exactly the same as the new one. It seems odd that Social Rebel would go to the hassle of making a totally new site that looks exactly the same as the old one.

And, finally, what makes this more of a red flag is the fact that the company doesn’t even mention that it previously operated as socialrebel.co.

It’s unclear when the company actually started

On its “About Us” page, Social Rebel claims to have been founded in 2018. However, I couldn’t confirm that information online. Also, when I did a search for SocialRebel.co on Who.is, it said it was registered in August, 2021, and not in 2018.

There’s no information available about the site’s supposed “founders”

On the company’s “About Us” page, it says that it was founded in 2018 by “Two experienced and successful businessmen, Ralph R. Lawson and Chad Evans.”

They don’t appear to be real people. I can’t find anything that says that they actually exist. I saw people mention that the company had actually used stock images for the founders and the other team members. They seem to have been removed from the new site.

When I used the Wayback Machine to view the company’s about page on the old site, socialrebel.co, I saw that it had the exact same information about its supposed “team”, but it included photos. The new about page has the exact same information about the “team” but no photos. When you look at the photos the company previously used, they look like stock images.

It’s difficult to find the company’s address

Social Rebel claims that it is “Co-headquartered in the Netherlands.” The company’s address is pretty difficult to find though. I had to dig through its “Terms of Service,” page to find an address. When I searched the company’s address though, all I could find was an office space you could rent out, and no mention of Social Rebel at all.

No contact information

Most legit sites have a “Contact Us,” page where they give a phone number, email address, or even just a contact form that you can use to get in touch with the company’s support team. Social Rebel doesn’t have a “Contact Us,” page on its site, which is a huge red flag.

Terrible customer reviews

On Trustpilot and Reddit people say that Social Rebel is a scam.

Here are some reviews from Trustpilot:

• “Social rebel is totally fake I worked and they ask me to be doing two offers and two invites every day till my payment day which is 11th December 2021 and I did it as they want I didn’t miss day when it on my payment date I didn’t get paid and still saying I’m inactive” (Review of socialrebel.app on Trustpilot).
• “Not Trustworthy and DO NOT PAY OUT. Be very careful when using this site. They are not transparent at all. The team on their About Us page are models from istock photos, and there is no way to contact them. Do not give out real details in surveys or games. I will update you as I use the site. BIG FRAUDSTERS…Will be reporting all apps that use them to decide people to Google and Apple. They DO NOT pay out.” (Review of socialrebel.co on Trustpilot).

You’ll find similar complaints about the company on Reddit. Users mention how Social Rebel doesn’t pay out and that it changed its name because users were unhappy with the company.

One User on this Reddit thread says:

• “I wish someone really would do something.I’ve not been able to work since a nasty auto accident and was going through a divorce at the same time then covid hit so I’ve been doing these type things trying to make money in order to just eat so now I’m ready to cash out and it’s the same here.Im a combat vet and have been through quite a few bad things in life but this almost made me cry to think here I was gonna finally have some money to get the few things I needed and another let down. I can’t take this type **** any more and sure they don’t care about the toll it takes on anyone or how it affects their psyche. Sorry bout putting this depressing **** out there .”

Social Rebel is a scam, which sucks, I know. But, don’t worry if you are looking to make money online doing easy tasks like watching videos, trying out apps, taking surveys, and playing games, there are plenty of legit sites out there that actually offer these opportunities.

Here are some Social Rebel alternatives that will actually pay you!

1. Swagbucks

Swagbucks is a well-reviewed get paid to website that will actually pay you for doing online tasks. This includes taking surveys, watching videos, playing games, and browsing the internet. You can get paid to your PayPal account or get a gift card for retailers like Amazon and Walmart.

Closing Thoughts

Social Rebel claims to pay users for doing easy tasks like referring friends and taking surveys. In reality, it’s a scam. There are so many reports from users stating that they completed tasks on Social Rebel and the website never paid them. This is really awful, and why you should avoid the site at all costs.

My guess is that Social Rebel is just collecting data from users so it can sell it, and it has no intention of actually paying anyone.

In the company’s Privacy Policy, it states:

• “We may share or sell aggregate or individualized information about you that may include, without limitation, (1) your personal information, (2) your use of the SocialRebel Sites and Features and our Services, (3) websites you visit, and (4) your location and information derived therefrom which we believe reflects your interests.”

So, it seems as though the only one profiting here is Social Rebel. Hopefully this Social Rebel review explained why you should never use this site.
