I wanted to review the Perk TV app for a long time.
If you’ve ever looked up rewards apps or get paid to sites online, then you’ve probably heard about Perk.
It’s a rewards website and app – or rather selection of apps – that allows you to earn points for doing tasks, like:
- Shopping online.
- Answering trivia questions.
- Completing word search puzzles.
- Taking surveys.
And, one of Perk’s most popular apps is Perk TV.
With this incredibly popular app, you can earn points when you watch videos.
Join InboxDollars for free. InboxDollars pays you to watch videos, search, shop, take surveys, and more. They have paid out $57 Million so far!
And, what’s great is that these are generally short, like movie trailers and app trailers.
Easy to use, fun and an effective way to earn Perk Points fast, there’s a reason this is one of the brand’s most popular apps.
So, if you already have a Perk account, or are considering signing up, Perk TV is definitely an app that all Perk users should check out.
Below, we offer a review of the app, covering everything you need to know about how to use it, and earn points with it.
How Perk TV Works
This app is pretty simple.
Essentially, you watch videos with it and earn points.
Here’s a breakdown of how it works:
The first step is to download the app, which is available in both the iTunes and Google Play store.
If you’re not already a member of Perk then you’ll need to create an account.
You can do this on the Perk website or by downloading the app.
Perk TV is just one of Perk’s eight money-making apps, and the brand has a ninth app, called Perk Wallet that can be used to keep track of your earnings across the multiple apps.
And, you can also redeem your points for gift cards using Perk Wallet – and get discounts when you do.
Plus, you can convert your points into cash if you have a Perk Plastik Card (we discuss this card in more detail below).
So, you might want to consider downloading Perk Wallet as well if you use multiple apps from the brand.
Here’s where you can download it:
How to Earn Rewards by Watching Videos on Perk TV
Once you’ve downloaded the app, you’ll be able to start watching videos.
Join Opinion Outpost. It is a fun panel with a lot of interesting surveys. And it rewards you well!
On your home screen, you’ll see available videos.
You can even browse by categories and channels, such as:
- Up and coming
Just click on the video you want to view it.
Then, you’ll start earning points and tokens when you watch videos.
You get a certain number of points for each video that you watch:
- US users earn up to 3 points.
- Users in the UK, Canada and Australia earn up to 1 point.
- Users in other countries earn up to 1 point.
You can also earn tokens on Perk TV if you rate a video with a “thumbs up” or “thumbs down.” This gives you 50 tokens.
What’s great about Perk TV is that the majority of the videos on there are short.
It’s mainly trailers for movies, TV shows, games, and apps.
So, this is a super easy way to earn points.
Perk TV Rewards
As we mentioned above, in exchange for watching videos and doing other tasks, such as rating videos, you can earn points and tokens.
Now, if you’ve never used any of the brand’s apps before, then you’re probably wondering what the difference is between points and tokens.
The difference between the two is that each one is used to redeem different things.
Below, we’ve outlined the rewards you can get with each.
Rewards you can get with Points
Points can be redeemed for gift cards to retailers, like:
But, that’s not all.
You can also earn:
- Airline miles from airlines like US Airways and Alaska Airlines.
- Tablets, digital cameras, laptops and other items.
- Charitable donations.
And, you can also get your points converted to money with Perk Plastik.
What is Perk Plastik?
It’s a prepaid debit card from Perk. It’s actually a Discover card. So, you can use it anywhere that accepts Discover.
You can also use it to pay bills online and for online shopping.
This isn’t a credit card, so you won’t need to undergo a credit check – but you do need to be a U.S. citizen or legal resident with a Social Security Number to qualify.
You can apply for the card on this page.
You’ll need to have the Perk Wallet app installed to use the card.
Rewards you can get with Tokens
Unlike points, which can be used to redeem a variety of things, from gift cards to electronics, tokens can only be redeemed for entries into sweepstakes.
In these sweepstakes, you get the chance to win a plethora of prizes, such as:
- $100 gift cards
- Xbox consoles
- PlayStation consoles
- Android phones
- Gift cards for popular retailers and brands.
So, while tokens are more limiting compared to points, the prizes you can win can be pretty great.
If you want to see all of the prizes available in the Perk Sweepstakes, then visit this page.
You can also use your Perk Points to purchase tokens in the Rewards catalog online, or within the app. You can do this in the “Other Perks” section of the app.
Similar Apps from Perk
Perk TV is a great app that makes it so easy to get your hands on free gift cards and even cash.
But, it’s not the only way you can earn Perk Points.
As we mentioned above, Perk offers a selection of apps that you can use to get points.
And, if you’re interested in Perk TV, then you might also be interested in other similar apps from the brand.
Below, we’ve listed apps like Perk TV.
Perk TV Live
Perk TV Live works in a similar way, but there’s one main difference.
Instead of browsing through the app to find videos to watch, as you do with Perk TV, with Perk TV Live, you watch the TV shows and movies you normally would.
You just open up the Perk TV Live app, and it will sync with the sound from your TV or computer and check into the TV show or movie that you are watching.
What’s great about Perk TV Live is that it works with recorded shows, streaming platforms, and news and sports shows too.
Once the app matches your show and syncs with your TV or computer, you’ll earn points as you watch TV.
You can also earn rewards when you tweet from the app.
Where to get it:
Another app from Perk that rewards you for watching TV is Viggle.
When you check into shows on streaming platforms, such as Amazon, Hulu or Netflix, you earn Perk Points.
And, there’s even the opportunity to get extra points. For example, if you find featured shows by opening Viggle daily, then you can earn 4X, 6X, or 15X Perk Points.
Where to get it:
As you see from this Perk TV review, this is a good app that can make you a bit of money to spend on your morning coffee, or net you a few free gift cards.
And, who doesn’t want more of those?
Out of all of Perk’s apps, Perk TV is one that’s definitely worth a look.
Of course, Perk TV is not going to earn you a ton of money. Like most rewards programs, you’re not going to get rich from it.
But, what it does do is give you a little extra spending cash, and free gift cards.
And, it requires little effort to get these rewards.
So give it a go, and definitely consider trying out some other apps from Perk.
We go into more detail about the brand’s other apps and how you can make $360 a year from them in our Perk.com review – so make sure you check that out for more information.
