Today’s post is a Peddle review.
Selling a car doesn’t have to involve posting an ad for it and meeting up with a bunch of potential buyers. No, it can be much faster and convenient than that.
With Peddle, you can sell your car online, hassle-free.
There are quite a lot of car buying sites around nowadays, like CarBrain, CarVIO, and, of course, Peddle. These sites claim to offer a convenient solution for anyone who’s looking to offload their vehicle for some cash.
Is Peddle a good site for doing so? Or are other car selling websites better?
In this post, I’ll answer those questions and much more. I’ll cover how Peddle works, and whether it’s worth your time.

How Does Peddle Work?
So, how exactly does this Peddle thing work? Put simply, Peddle allows you to sell your car either online or by calling up to get a quote.
Here’s how the process works in a little more detail…
Step One: Visit the site and provide some details on your vehicle
The first step is to let Peddle know about your car.
You can visit the website here, and then enter some details about your vehicle.
Or, you can simply call the company 24/7 at (877) 978-1115.
Peddle requires you to provide some details on your car, such as the year, make, model, mileage, and overall condition of the vehicle.
This is so easy to do online. Simply visit the site and complete the form. It’s pretty easy to call and enquire about selling your car as well.

Step Two: Get an offer
After you provide some details on the car you are looking to sell, Peddle will give you an offer. By completing the online form, you can receive an offer in seconds. Alternatively, you can contact Peddle to get an offer 24/7 on the phone, as I mentioned earlier.
Once you’ve received the offer, you can decide whether or not to accept it. Peddle gives you up to seven days to accept the offer on your vehicle.
So, review it, and see if it’s the right amount for you.
Step Three: Get paid for your car
If you do decide to accept the quote the company gives you, the next step is to sell your vehicle. Now, Peddle makes this so easy. It will come and pick up your car for free!
You get paid by cash or check, with check being the most common payment option.
That’s pretty much it. It’s all so simple. If you do want more details on things like, how long it takes to sell a car to Peddle or what type of vehicles does Peddle purchase, then I implore you to have a read of the FAQ section below because it answers those questions and much, much more.
Is Peddle Legitimate?
Peddle sure makes this whole selling a car thing seem easy. But, is it really?
Companies can promise a lot. Quick service, high offers, and a convenient way to cash in a vehicle, but whether or not they actually live up to this promise is a whole other story.
Some companies that claim to provide an easy way to get cash for your car, aren’t legit. Is Peddle one of them?
Thankfully, Peddle is a legit company that will pay you for your old car.
Customers who’ve used Peddle to sell a vehicle seem to have had an excellent experience with the company.
The Peddle reviews out there are mostly positive, with customers praising the company on everything from its professional service to the high quotes it gives for vehicles.
What the Peddle reviews have to say
To give you a better idea of what people’s experience is with Peddle, I’ve included some reviews and ratings from two of the most well-known review platforms out there – Trustpilot and the Better Business Bureau.
Peddle on Trustpilot
On Trustpilot, Peddle has more than 82,000 reviews from customers so it seems as though A LOT of people have used the company to sell their vehicle.
Peddle has 4.7 stars, which is a rating of “Excellent,” on Trustpilot.
So, it seems as though the majority of people have a great experience with the company.
Here’s what some of the Peddle reviews have to say:
- “I really recommend Peddle to anyone who wants to quickly sell a car, they’re so professional and so friendly it makes the whole process go stress-free.”
- “They paid me 4x what other places offered me for my truck. Definitely recommend them for their service.”
- It was as simple as picking up the phone , i called the number , that was Sunday , Monday they picked the car up with the cash they offered, no haggling or trying to lower the price. Nice to find a respectable company.
- “I have sold 3 vehicles to peddle easy . just call one day and the next day they will contact you make a time to come pick the vehicles up. And they are punctual on time very professional and pay you cash on the spot great experience.”

FAQs
Above, I’ve covered how Peddle works, but in this section, I just want to cover some more topics.
Whether you want to know which types of vehicles you can sell to Peddle or whether or not there’s a fee for using Peddle, you’ll find the answers to those questions and more below.
How long does it take Peddle to pick up my car?
After you accept your offer, one of the company’s carriers will call you to schedule a time to pick up your car.
Although the timeline can vary, typically, you can expect the carrier assigned to pick up your vehicle to contact you within a day or two to schedule a convenient pickup time.
How quickly the carrier is able to collect your vehicle depends on your schedule and the carrier’s schedule.
You can contact them directly if you want. You can log in to your account to check your email or text messages from Peddle to locate their information.
If you need any help connecting with your carrier, you can also get in touch with Peddle at (877) 586-5692 for assistance.
Does peddle pay cash or check?
How exactly does Peddle pay you? Well, the company pays you with check for most sales. Cash may sometimes be available, but not often.
According to Peddle, because its carriers typically perform a high volume of transactions per day, for their safety, the majority pay by check rather than carrying around large amounts of cash.
And, another reason for most payments being made by check is that carriers also have a proper paper trail for the sale.
According to Peddle, some of its carriers may be able to pay in cash, but this would be at their discretion.
After accepting an offer, you can ask your carrier if they would be able to pay you in cash, but they will most likely pay you with a check.
What type vehicles will Peddle buy?
Peddle purchases pretty much all cars, and that’s not all either.
Peddle purchases:
- Cars
- Trucks
- SUVs
And it purchases vehicles in a variety of conditions, and vehicles in many years, makes and models.
You can even sell a junk car to Peddle, even if it has a blown engine, or it’s on cinder-blocks.
It DOES NOT purchase:
- Motorcycles
- Scooters
- RVs
- Campers
- Trailers
- Boats
Is there a fee for using Peddle?
No. It’s free to sell your car to Peddle. You don’t have to worry about fees, as its service is completely free.
Does peddle pay what they offer?
Offers can change due to real-time buyer pricing, but that’s only up until you accept the offer.
In the time before you accept the quote, the offer could change because the company’s buyers have the ability to change or retract their offers at any time prior to acceptance.
After you accept an offer, the dollar amount will not change, meaning that the offer you accept is what you get.
But, only as long as all of the information you provided is accurate. If the company finds any discrepancies or any major component is missing or removed, it will make you an updated offer if the value has changed.
If you choose not to accept your offer right away, Peddle will periodically send you emails with your most recent offer amount unless you cancel your request.
If you decide that you no longer want to sell with Peddle, you can cancel your offer. Just log in to your account using your email and the password you received in your email when you accepted the company’s offer.
Once you are logged in, you’ll be able to check the status of your offer or cancel your request. To cancel your offer, you’ll need to click on the “Decline Offer” button. You’ll then have the option to leave a rating and any additional comments about your experience, and click “Decline,” and your offer will be canceled.
What happens if there’s an issue with payment?
Although I didn’t see many complaints about Peddle checks bouncing, some people are still concerned about potential issues with payment.
According to the company, as long as all condition questions are answered accurately, your payment via check is 100% guaranteed.
Peddle states that it processes tens of thousands of transactions per month, and on very rare occasions, there may be a payment issue. In that case, Peddle says that it “swiftly jumps in to get our customer paid.”
If your check bounces or you don’t receive the correct payment amount, then Peddle says to get in touch at (877) 586-5692, and its support team will help you out.
Like I said before though, I haven’t seen many, if any, reviews online where people have had an issue with payment. The majority of people get paid for their car with no problems!
Do I need a title to sell my car?
According to Peddle, many of its buyers purchase cars without a title. So, if you want to sell a vehicle without a title, make sure that after you start the offer process when prompted about the title, just answer, “I do not have a title.”
Then, the site’s system will automatically calculate your new offer. Now, if you are interested in getting a title, then Peddle actually has a handy Title Guide by State that you can read for more information. Generally, you’ll get a better offer for your vehicle, if you have the title.
How much does Peddle pay you?
So, how much money can you make from this? Well, it really depends on the type of vehicle you have and the condition that it’s in. Most customers seem to agree that Peddle offers pretty high quotes for cars.
You can find out how much money Peddle is willing to pay you for your car in just minutes using the form on the site.
When does Peddle pay me?
When the car is picked up and you hand over the title, if you have one, and keys, you’re paid on the spot. If you are unable to be there at the time your vehicle is collected, Peddle can also arrange to have your payment mailed to you as soon as your pickup is confirmed.
Can I sell my vehicle to Peddle if I still owe money on it?
No. In order to sell your car to Peddle, all liens and loans need to be paid in full.
What should I do to get my car ready for pick up?
Your carrier will take care of almost everything on the day they come to collect your vehicle. There are a few things, however, that you should do to prepare for pickup:
- Remove any personal belongings from your vehicle.
- Make sure your keys are handy.
- Ensure that your car is accessible for the tow truck.
- Make sure you have your title ready.
- Be ready to remove your license plates on the day of pickup.
Should You Sell Your Car to Peddle?
Should you sell your car to Peddle? Or are there better options out there?
Really, I think that that Peddle is a reputable company that’s worth selling to.
Peddle Pros & Cons
To help you decide whether the company is the right fit for you, let’s take a look at some pros and cons.
Pros
Because I like to be positive, let’s check out the pros first!
You can get an offer fast
It takes just minutes to enter details on your car and you can get an offer right away. I think that is so useful because if you’re in a rush or whatever, you don’t have to spend a ton of time trying to get a quote for your vehicle.
It’s a professional company
What stood out to me the most when I was researching the company and reading through reviews from people who’ve sold a car to Peddle, was the number of people who called the company “professional.” The word professional came up a whole lot meaning that this company obviously provides a good service, to a highly professional standard and that’s always a good thing.
Peddle will pick up your car
One of the other things that stands out to me is how the company offers a free pickup service. If you decide to sell your car, Peddle will send out one of its carriers to collect your vehicle. And, it will even arrange a tow if it’s necessary.
This means that you don’t even need to leave your home to sell your car! No, you can get your quote online, and have someone pick up the car for you! Amazing, right? This is definitely one of the best aspects of selling a used car to Peddle.
There’s no obligation to accept the offer you get
If you think that the offer is too low, then you don’t have to accept it. You can cancel an offer request at any time. So, there’s really no stress with this.
Peddle is incredibly well-reviewed online
I’ve reviewed a lot of companies in my time, and this one has some of the highest ratings I’ve seen. It has 4.7 out of 5 stars on both Trustpilot and the BBB, which is a really high rating. I mean, it’s almost a 5-star rating!
These positive reviews show how most people have an excellent experience with Peddle.
Cons
Now for some downsides. To be honest, there aren’t many.
Trouble with vehicle pickup
Some people in reviews complained that it was difficult to schedule a pickup of their vehicle, and a few reviews mentioned tow truck drivers/carriers not showing up or showing up late, which, obviously, isn’t ideal.
A couple of people complained about this on Trustpilot:
- “Tow truck driver was late picking up my car wasnt happy with the services over all.”
- “Scheduled a pickup for Friday, but nobody called or showed up. Total waste of time. Went with someone else and they picked it up the very next day.”
Prices sometimes drop
Although Peddle says that its prices are locked in once you accept an offer, that’s not exactly the case. Prices can drop upon inspection of your vehicle. A couple of people complained about this in reviews.
One reviewer on the BBB says:
- “Think you guys should let people know you are gonna drop price upon meeting I was told I would be getting 800, then on the phone 750. Then in person the guy dropped it down to 500.”
A reviewer on Trustpilot also had a similar experience:
- “I was surprised that the tow driver took $250 from the agreed $456! He said my pickup didn’t have a catalytic converter and someone should have told me!!! It seemed scammy to me! This is the forth car I have sold to a “junk for cash” service! The other 3 companies did nothing like this! Not a good business practice!”
To be honest, these concerns didn’t appear often. Most people had their car picked up fine and were paid fine too. Peddle seems to offer a great service that customers praise highly.
Overall Verdict
Overall, Peddle is a well-reviewed company that most people use to sell their cars with great success. You’re able to sell pretty much any vehicle, even junk cars, so this really is a good option.
You’re paid when your vehicle is picked up as well, which means that you can get cash for your used car pretty fast. If you’re considering selling your vehicle, I would recommend Peddle.
Quick tip though – get quotes from a few companies. I recently reviewed CarVIO and that company is also great, so I would recommend getting an offer from there as well. That way, you can compare the two quotes to see which one will give you the most money. CarBrain is also a good company to sell to as well, so do get a quote from there too. It’s always good to compare the prices offered by multiple car buying companies.
Hopefully, this Peddle review helped you to decide whether or not to sell your car to the company. Have you ever sold a car to Peddle? Let us know what your experience with the company was like in the comments section below.
