Pinterest is an amazing social media tool that lets you share all kinds of pictures and posts with the world.
And while it was originally thought of as a social media site for women, it has grown in popularity among both females and males.
Pinterest users spend hours building up their board, building up their followers and putting their awesome images online.
In fact, most users spend more time on Pinterest than on Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media sites.
But unlike other social media networks where you can make money by using them, there hasn’t been any opportunity when it comes to Pinterest.

Say hello to Loop88 (formally known as Pinbooster).
This little program promises to turn your endless pinning obsession into a source of extra income.
Update: Unfortunately Loop88 doesn’t pay for pinning anymore. I haven’t found any other company that pays you directly for pining. Fear not, there are tons of other ways to make extra money online. Check out my post on how to make $500 fast!
What will I learn?
How Loop88 Works
Basically, Loop88 works to connect you with brands who are interested in having you work with them on a campaign they are doing.
You can get an offer from these brands, and then post the images to the board of your choice. In return, you get paid for doing their advertising for them.
And all that it takes is a few clicks and pinning an image to your account.
1. Sign Up
Get your account by going to Loop88.com/pinners.
Be sure to use your Pinterest username to sign up here.
Why?
Advertisements
Because that’s how brands are going to be able to find you.
These brands are going to look at what you have posted, your followers and the like to decide if they are interested in working with you.
Your profile helps to find these brands as well, so be sure that you are taking the time to complete this as you should.
2. Choose Your Interest
A part of the profile process is choosing what types of stuff you like to pin.
For example, if you are always pinning DIY stuff, say this, as this could be the best way to find a brand that is interested in working with you.
3. Receive Offers
You will receive a notification upon getting an offer from a brand that is interested in working with you. You are the one that gets to decide if you want to work with them or not.
The offer that you receive comes with the information about the company, what they want you to do and the like.
4. Pin Away
You can accept the offer to start working.
The brand will work with you on what they want, but this is all pretty straightforward if you have worked with Pinterest before.
5. Get Paid
Once the time on the campaign is over, and you have done everything the brand asked you to do, you will receive your money within 24 hours.
How Much Money Can You Really Make with Loop88?
The amount you earn is really based on how much you charge per pin.
Loop88 does have a calculator you can use that shows just what they recommend you charge.
For example, with 6,303 followers on Pinterest, the recommended charge per pin is $20. If you had around 24,000 followers, Loop88 recommends charging $70 per pin.
Thus, the amount you make really depends upon how big of a following you have on Pinterest. It’s the same with Twitter or Facebook money-making opportunities as well.
That said, I wouldn’t count on this as a consistent source of income. I would imagine offers from advertisers would be far and few in between. Nonetheless, if you do spend time on Pinterest, you may as well take advantage of this opportunity and get paid for pining.
I dont have that many who fallow me how do I get started with more?
Well, you have to start somewhere. Maybe you could create an interesting board and get followers slowly by pining interesting content.
I already have an account for pinterest I created this account for my Avon online business, and I have many other boards other than for Avon, should I create a new account on pinterest to join this money making job that you speak of? Or can I start making money with these companies right off the bat. Thanks!
I would think it would be best to use your normal Pinterest account since that will actually show them that you are active on Pinterest. They would rather get people who are active and already have followers.
How do you price your pins? Everywhere I look they say that you can price your pins but I have no clue on how to or where to do it.
Ashley, I think that’s done when you receive an offer from a brand who wants to work with you. It is then and there that you can say “hey sure I’ll pin your stuff for this much”.
I tried to sign using my pinterest name which is my first name and they told me it was not valid so I’m not creating a new account just for this sounds great but no thank you
Hmm… I haven’t heard of that happening to anyone yet.
Are you sure you entered the correct user name? I know it happens to me sometimes; when I go to login to a site, I accidentally misspell my user name (a missing character or something like that) and have to repeat the process a few times to finally realize that I wasn’t entering the correct user name.
Hi Satrap, thank you for the information. I am sure going to try out Loop88. There is something wrong with your link though, I had to delete the ‘/pinner’ part to get to their site.
Amanda, the link works from my side. That /pinner basically takes you to the page where you can get info for becoming a paid pinner as apposed to taking you to the homepage of the site.
Hi
I saw your link in my stats and decided to give it a try again – looks like it worked for me! Thanks for reminding me about this opportunity!
I am glad it is working for you, Amanda.
I can’t get the loop88 to take my user name and I’ve had an account for almost 3 years and have almost 4,000 followers. Says it’s invalid.

Michelle, I am not sure why that is happening. Your best bet is to get in touch with the Loop88 folks and ask them. Good luck.
I pin on a daily basis and I have 90K+ followers. What should I charge? I have 100+ pin boards on all kind of subjects (fashion, out door, interior decoration, healthy lifestyle, traveling, art, crafts).
I am not sure really. But based on their recommendation that I mentioned in the post, it would seem you could charge between $200-$300 per pin, but I dont think its that easy.
You will have to have a very active group of followers, and of course it depend son the advertiser.
Nonetheless, I think you have a very good opportunity to make some extra cash. If your followers are real and you have accumulated them organically, I would actually contact Loop88 and see what they say.
On the other hand, you could always start with a certain price, if advertisers are willing to pay for it, then great, if not, change the price.
I think the reason people are having a hard time getting to the site from the link in the article is because the link says lopp88 instead of loop88.
Thanks very much for the catch, Cecilia. I fixed it.
I have over 500 followers on pintrest, would this be a good amount to start making money.
Crystal, I’m afraid that’s not nearly enough. Most companies who pay for sponsored pins look for pinners with tens of thousands of followers. So I would work on getting more follower first (by pinning more interesting related stuff consistently and joining other pin groups).
I have 61,000+ followers on pinterest, and I’m hoping to find some brands to connect with soon. I cannot find the calculator for how much to charge. Can you direct me? Or tell me based on your experience?
That’s weird, they used to have a calculator right on the “Pinners” section of the site. It seems like they took it down.
Either way, with 61,000 followers (especially if they are very active) you could make decent money. I would definitely sign up and give it a go. It’s free anyway.
How do you get paid?
Laura, they pay via Bill.com as well as PayPal (your choice.)
I didnt think that u could get paid on pintrest now that i know that i can id like to learn more about how it works and how to get started i have 254 followers
Does Pinbooster pay via Paypal? What about the other sites you have discussed about – How do they pay?
Loop88 (formerly Pinbooster) has a few different options. You can get paid either via Bill.com or PayPal. As for other sites, most of them do pay with PayPal.
i have gone down through the comments, how do you get linked to these top paying surveys? i keep trying and get nowhere.
Mike, we have a few posts with links to top paying survey sites. Just search for “moneypantry.com paid surveys” on Google and you’ll find all of our survey related posts.
How do I find out how many followers I have?
You can see the number of followers on your profile page.
