Leger Opinion, also known as LEO, is a Canadian survey site where you can earn rewards for sharing your opinion.

And yes, LEO is a real company! It describes itself as the largest Canadian-owned survey, market research, and analytics company.

It was created in 2004, and now, the LEO community has over 400,000 members across Canada and the United States.

The site offers various ways to earn money and different features, including:

Online surveys

The site allows you to earn money completing online surveys on a wide range of topics. Once you have completed a survey, you will get points that you can redeem for rewards.

Surveys on the site vary in the amount of time they take to complete. Generally, though, the site will mention the approximate duration of each survey submitted to you.

This is an estimate that’s based on things like the average time spent on the same type of surveys that panelists have answered previously.

Just login to the site, and you’ll be able to view all the available survey offers. Each survey will show you the estimated time that it takes to complete and the reward that you will get for completing it.

Contests

You can also earn chances to participate in the site’s weekly and monthly contests. These contests offer prizes like PayPal cash, gift cards, LEO points and more.

Badges

You can earn badges on LEO for doing certain activities, such as completing surveys or inviting friends to join LEO. Each completed badge for LEO can be redeemed for rewards.

Love, Hate, Rate tool

LEO features a Love, Hate, Rate tool that allows you to rate, as the site puts it, “anything under the sun.” This includes things like products, brands, services, and companies. Basically, LEO wants to know what you think about products, etc.

How Do You Get Paid?

As I said above, the site gives you points for taking surveys, and other tasks like taking part in contests.

Unlike some other survey sites with no minimum cash out, with LEO you have to have 20,000 points ($20) in your account in order to request a paymnet.

You can redeem the points you’ve accumulated for a bunch of different rewards, such as:

The number of points you need to redeem a reward varies depending on the type of reward that you get.

The site’s surveys allow you to earn rewards (LEO points or Aeroplan points) that may only be redeemed in:

• Increments of 10,000 LEO points for rewards transferred to your Air Miles account or points transferred to your Aeroplan account.
• Increments of 20,000 via gift cards, prepaid card, PayPal transfer or donation.
• Increments of 250 Aeroplan points transferred to your Aeroplan account.

How much can you make?

The amount that you’ll earn will vary from survey to survey. Typically though, surveys on LEO will pay anywhere from $0.50 to $35.

Who Can Join Leger Opinion?

Anyone from the United States or Canada can join Leger Opinion. The company doesn’t state what age you need to be to sign up.

However, since one of the ways it pays you is through PayPal, and you have to be 18 years old to have a PayPal account, then that’s basically the age you have to be to if you want to be able to withdraw your earnings from LEO via PayPal.

All you need to do is fill out the registration form. The company will then send you a confirmation email. Just click the confirmation link, and your account will be activated.

Then, you can login and start making money taking surveys.

There’s also a LEO app that’s available for Android devices, which you can get here, and iOS devices, which you can get here.

It’s important to note that you are only allowed one profile and one personal account on the site. If you create more than one account and the site finds out, then it will result in immediate closure of the accounts and any points you’ve earned.

Is Leger Opinion Legit?

Leger Opinion is well-reviewed on the App Store where it has a 4.4-star rating, it has an average to good rating on the Google play store where it has 3.6 stars from users, and it has a poor rating on Trustpilot where it has just 1.7 stars, which is a “Bad” rating. So, it’s really a mixed bag with this one.

Some users had a good experience with the company saying it offers lots of surveys.

There are lots of bad reviews too though. Users complain about:

• Not getting their rewards.
• Answering a ton of questions only to be told that they don’t qualify for a survey.
• Poor customer support.

Overall, Leger Opinion is legit in that it’s not trying to scam you, but it’s not particularly well-reviewed by users.

Leger Opinion Review: Overall Verdict

Overall, Leger Opinion has too many complaints from users for me to recommend it. One of the complaints that I saw quite a lot was that users didn’t get paid. That’s not what you want from a website that you’re trying to make money from.

When you take surveys, you expect to get paid, so it’s really not ideal that so many users are saying that Leger Opinion failed to deliver their reward.

Also, users complain that the customer support is poor from the company. Again, that’s not ideal.

There are better survey sites out there, which are a better use of your time.
