Do you wish you had a job where you work alone?
Well, you’re not the only one.
Statistics show that introverts make up 25% to 40% of the population. There are so many people out there who feel drained being around others, and you know what, I’m one of them.
I’m not antisocial. I’ll talk to pretty much anyone and I’ll do it with a friendly smile on my face. However, I do find that being around people all the time is pretty tiring and after a couple of hours, I’m done and all I want to do is retreat to my home.
Yeah, so maybe I’m slightly antisocial, but the correct term here is introvert. Most of my family work in an office setting where they have to deal with a bunch of people all of the time, and that would drive me crazy. You’d eventually find me crammed in a bathroom stall with my laptop trying to get away from people – okay maybe I wouldn’t quite go that far, but you get the picture.
It’s not that I don’t like other people either, it’s just that I like my own company.

I think that next to freelance writing, being an author has to be the ultimate job for introverts.
You get to work when you want, and alone. It’s your job to write books and then sell them.
The best part is that you don’t even need a traditional publisher now to get your book out there. Now, anyone can publish a book with Amazon KDP and make money from it. The good thing about KDP is that once your book is uploaded, you will continue making money from it each time you make a sale. This makes it a good residual income stream.
The amount of money you make depends on the number of sales you make and the commission rate you get. You could make $100s or even $1,000s a month though as an author with KDP.
