Well, companies send you free stuff as a way to encourage you to purchase full-sized items in the future. It’s that simple.
What better way for a customer to decide on what to buy than trying a sample first?
That’s the whole purpose of these samples. To try out products!
Companies know that giving away a sample for free could lead to a purchase in the future. That’s why so many of them mail out these freebies.
Brands also want feedback on their products and they’re willing to mail out free products in exchange for a review. That’s actually how product testing for free actually works.
Anyone can get samples and most of the time it’s as easy as registering for an account on a website or completing a form.
In today’s post, we’ll cover ways you can get free supplements, like:
- Pre-workout supplements
- Energy supplements
- Weight loss supplements
- Vitamins
- Protein bars
- Protein powders
- Sleeping aids
- CBD products
- And much more
So whether you are a gym rat and do weightlifting or cardio, or just looking for supplements to help you sleep better, manage pain, be less anxious, deal with depression, or are just looking for alternative ways to feel better instead of taking prescription medications, there is something for everyone.
Where to Get Free Supplement Samples
There are so many places where you can get supplements. I also have a really simple trick you can use to get dozens of supplements sent to you by mail from your favorite brands!

If by the time you are reading this post some of the links don’t work, don’t be discouraged. There are a few reasons for that.
One is that companies change their website structures to keep up to date with the latest SEO and UX best practices. So their URL changes and if they haven’t redirected the old pages to the new ones correctly, some URLs may give you a 404 or “Not Found” error. You can simply search for “free samples” on their website to find the new page.
Another reason could be that the free sample giveaway has expired. You see, companies use free sample giveaways as a promotional tool from time to time. They don’t last forever. So it may be that the company isn’t offering free samples at this time. But they may restart the campaign again. To make sure you don’t miss it when it happens, be sure to sign up for their free newsletter so you can get notified when it comes around again. Plus, most companies offer exclusive deals and discounts to their newsletter subscribers!

Daily Goodie Box looks at the comments on its Facebook page and randomly selects the winners of a free box.

That’s pretty simple, right?
Once you’re selected, the company will mail you a box of freebies.
What’s in the box varies from month to month but most items are in the food, health, or beauty category.
I’ve seen supplements featured in the box. At the time of writing, there was a sleep supplement featured on the website.
There are also lots of other supplements available, like:
- Vitamin C supplements

- Protein bars
- Energy supplements

13. Animalpak

14. Contact companies directly
Don’t forget that many brands are willing to hand out samples of supplements to customers who get in touch.
Really!
This is a really simple trick you can use to get lots of samples mailed to you for free.
Think about the supplement brands you like or the retailers you often purchase supplements from and then get in touch to request free samples.
Now, you need to make sure that you ask in the right way. You want to be polite and not too demanding.
Some people swear by complaining to them, companies send you free samples by mail but being nice gets you way further!
The trick is to compliment the company and ask for freebies in the process. Companies are likely to respond way better if you’re polite and appreciative.
So make a list of supplement brands and retailers to contact.
Then, find the contact information for each company.
Ways to contact brands for free supplements
There are quite a few different methods you can use to get in touch with supplement companies and retailers:
- Online chat box: You know those live chat boxes that often appear in the corner of a website? Well, you can actually use them to get free things. Yes, really! Open up the chatbox and chat with a customer service agent. Then politely ask for freebies. If you don’t get a free supplement sample, you may at least get a coupon or promo code that gives you a discount or a great deal like free shipping.
- Email: Most companies have an email address you can use to get in touch. Email is probably the best way to contact companies about freebies. Because you can use one template and just send out emails when you feel like it. And unlike with the live chat feature of websites, you don’t need to be chained to your computer awaiting a response. You can check your emails for a reply when it suits you.
- Contact form: Another great way to contact a company for free stuff is through a contact form. Lots of brands have these on their site as a way for their customers to contact them. Fill in a contact form asking for freebies and you could have supplements mailed to you at no cost.
- Mail: The mail is a less efficient option than the others in this section. Simply because you can’t send the same message out to each company you contact. Also, you have to actually pay to send out letters. That being said, it is one of the most effective ways to receive freebies. This is simply because a lot of brands don’t get much physical mail anymore. Most people opt for digital means of communication, such as email. That means that they may be more inclined to give you something for free because you have taken the time to actually mail them a letter. Companies might appreciate your message more in letter form.
- Social media: Lots of brands have social media nowadays because it’s so important for marketing. You can use this to your advantage. Send brands a message on social media platforms, and you’ll be able to request free stuff.
- Phone: You could also try calling companies to ask for supplements. Like with the letter, actually taking the time to call and show a brand your appreciation could make it more likely to give you something for free. However, it’s not the most efficient way to contact a brand. With the methods above, you can use a template message and then just tailor it based on each company. On the phone, however, you can’t do that. You can only phone one brand at a time. So you can’t send messages out in bulk.
Using email or live chat are both good options for getting free supplements fast.
A template for contacting brands
Okay, so now you know how you can get in touch, what exactly do you say to these companies?
Like I said,
being polite and appreciative is important. To make things easier, I’d recommend you use a template for all of your messages.
Then simply tailor that template to whichever brand that you plan to send it to.
Using a template is such a time-saver!
I’ve included a template that you can use if you want to:
“Hi,
My name is [your name]
I just wanted to say that I’m a huge fan of your company. I love your [supplement you like] and I always recommend them to my friends and family.
As someone who’s been a loyal customer for years, I just wanted to say you’re doing awesome work!
I was also wondering if you have any samples or coupons you could send to me, because I’d love to try more of your products, and would appreciate anything you could send me.
Thank you so much and have a great day!
[Your name]”
You could even write a line about your experiences with the company’s supplements. The more personal and appreciative your message, the more likely a company will be to provide you with free stuff!
Take the time to send a more detailed and thoughtful message and it will pay off!
Once you have your message, you can just paste it into an email or whatever method of contact it is you’re using and in no time you’ll have freebies sent to your door!
15. Follow supplement brands on social media
Social media is a really great tool for keeping up to date with deals from supplement companies.
A lot of them post things on there like:
- Giveaways
- New promotions – like buy one get one free
- Coupons
- Freebies
That’s why I would highly recommend that you follow your favorite brands on social media.
So think about your favorite supplement brands and follow them on social media. Then keep a lookout for freebies!
16. Find free supplement samples on Reddit
Reddit is a great place to find all kinds of freebies including pre-workout and fitness samples. The r/freebies subreddit is a great place to find free samples of all kinds.
To find free stuff on Reddit simply visit the subreddit and search and browse the older threads or just start a new thread asking other users where they get free supplements. People always share new promo codes, deals, and giveaways from major supplement brands. It’s also a great way to learn about any upcoming free GNC sample giveaways and promotions!
You can also search on other related subreddits like r/bodybuilding and r/leangains.
Tips to Save Money on Supplements
Here are even more ways to get discounts and freebies…
Get $10 instantly from Rakuten
Buy supplements online? Then you’ll want to use Rakuten. The store provides you with cashback for shopping online and this includes many stores that sell vitamins and supplements.
This includes places like:
- GNC.com
- Vitamin Shoppe
- MyProtein
The cashback percentage you get varies depending on the store you shop with. That being said, I’ve seen deals for 10% cashback at a few stores, which is awesome.
You can have your cashback sent to your PayPal account or get a check. You could then use this cash to get your supplements at a discount or even for free in the future.
Just for signing up, you’ll get a $10 bonus!
- Sign up for Rakuten here.
Do some fun tasks on Swagbucks or Qmee
Want to buy supplements but don’t want to part with your hard-earned cash? I’d recommend these two websites:
Swagbucks
Swagbucks, if you don’t already know, is a rewards website that gives you points for doing really easy tasks.
Tasks you can be rewarded for include:
- Playing games
- Watching videos
- Taking surveys
- Shopping online
- Completing offers
Swagbucks is great because it gives you so many ways to earn. Once you’ve earned enough points, you’ll be able to redeem them for rewards, like:
- PayPal money
- Visa
- Amazon gift card
- Target
- Walmart
- CVS
What’s great about Swagbucks is that there are so many different rewards options available.
You could use your Swagbucks earnings to get your supplements for free! Or just use your PayPal cash or gift card to pay for your favorite supplement!
Another great aspect of the website is that you can cash out for as little as $1 to $5. So once you have enough money to purchase a supplement for free, you can withdraw your earnings.
- Sign up for Swagbucks here.
Qmee
Another awesome website for making some money is Qmee. I reviewed Qmee recently and was impressed by its glowing reviews from users and the fact that it pays out instantly!
That’s right.
With Qmee, you can have money in your PayPal account within minutes! There are gift cards available too.
So just how do you make money with Qmee, you ask?
Well, it’s sort of like Swagbucks where you get paid to do online tasks, like:
- Taking surveys
- Shopping online
- Searching the internet
Since there’s no minimum withdrawal limit, you can get your earnings right away to PayPal or on an Amazon gift card!
Like with Swagbucks, you can use this free cash to get your supplements for free!
- Visit the Qmee website here.
Look out for deals
Being on the lookout for deals like coupons, promo codes, and discounts can help you to save big on supplements.
Here are some websites to check for savings:
- Coupons.com
- Offers.com
- RetailMeNot
Check these sites regularly and you could find deals that get you discounts or even free products!
Some supplement brands offer discounts or freebies for signing up for their newsletter too.
So if there are supplement brands you buy from regularly, consider signing up for their newsletter. This way, you’ll be the first to know about any new promotions, deals, or discounts.
Use points programs to get free supplements
Another way to get supplements for free is to use points programs.
Many stores have these programs where you earn points for shopping.
You can then use these points to get discounts on future purchases or free products.
For example, at GNC, you earn 1 point for every dollar spent. Once you’ve earned 150 points, you get a $5 reward.
So if you spend $150 at GNC, you’ll get $5 off your next purchase. Spend $300, and you’ll get $10 off your next purchase. And so on.
It’s a really simple way to get discounts on supplements.
So check if your favorite supplement store has a points program. If it does, sign up for it and start earning those points!
Conclusion
Supplements can be expensive but there are so many ways to get them for free or at a discount!
From following brands on social media to signing up for newsletters, there are so many ways to score free supplements.
Plus, don’t forget to check out the websites I mentioned above to get free supplements and other great deals.
You could end up getting your supplements for free or at a huge discount!
Happy supplement shopping!
