How Do I Put an Ad on a Classified Website?
You may have to login, but as you can see above there are many classified ads sites that don’t require registration.
Each platform will have its own steps for posting an ad on there.
Generally speaking though, if you’re selling something, you’ll need:
- An eye-catching title that grabs the reader’s attention. Make it specific, like red “H&M sweater for sale,” rather than just “sweater for sale.”
- A description of the item you’re selling. Make it accurate, include important details, and make sure it’s honest. If there’s a scratch on the item, for example, make sure you mention it int the listing.
- Photos of the item.
It’s a similar thing for other types of listings too, except for the photographs, as those will only apply to certain categories. You’ll always need a catchy title and a good description, whether you’re listing an ad for your services, a job offer, or a rental property.
So What’s the Best Free Classified/Advertising Site?
It depends on what you are looking to do. All of these platforms have their own unique upsides and downsides. But luckily you don’t have to choose one! Since they’re all free to use, I would actually suggest using a few or all for browsing local ads and posting your own. That way you get access to a much bigger pool of potential buyers, sellers, employees, employers, etc.
The good thing is that on all of these free online advertising sites you can find everything from job listings to personals to stuff for sale!
Give these sites a try and let us know about your favorite free classified ads sites in the comments section below.

Sorry for misunderstanding you, Lynn.
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, sites come and go often, so sometimes by the time we get to the older posts to update them, things happen. I have updated the post to reflect Adtoad being closed.
