Step One: Sign Up

To get started with UpShift, you need to apply and complete an online assessment. Note that only 12% of applicants are accepted, so make sure to perform well on your assessment.

Fill out the application form and complete the onboarding/document check-in at one of the company’s offices. Once this is done, you will gain access to the app and be able to start picking up shifts.

Note that you only need to complete the onboarding process once. After that, you can apply for different shifts through the UpShift app without needing to go through additional interviews or send resumes.

Step Two: Complete Shifts Near You

After completing your onboarding, you can begin picking up flexible work opportunities.

Use the UpShift app to find shifts available near you. The app primarily features hospitality/food service positions and warehouse roles.

Once accepted for a shift, simply confirm it to secure the job. You can apply for multiple shifts depending on your availability and interests.

When you’re ready to start working, clock in on the app. Don’t forget to clock out once your shift ends.

Step Three: Get Paid

After completing your shift and clocking out, you will be prompted to rate your experience with the company and the job. Additionally, the company will provide you with a rating out of 5 stars based on your performance.

You will receive your payment directly to your bank account or cash card every Friday for the previous week’s work.

How Much Does UpShift Pay?

Shifts on UpShift typically pay between $15 and $20 per hour. Some high-paying shifts can earn you $20 or more per hour.
