People who operate internet forums, particularly for a business, want their communities to be active. They want new threads popping up and people posting new comments frequently.
Forum operators are often busy though, so it can be easier for them to outsource forum posting to other people, like you.
You can earn money from online forums by posting comments on existing threads and by creating new threads.
Now, there are basically two methods for making money with this:
- Join forums that pay you to post: These are forum sites that pay for posting on them. So you sign up for a forum and get paid for your posts on it.
- Sign up for sites that offer forum posting jobs: Clients post job openings for forum posters, like you. So these sites offer ways to make money posting to lots of different forums.
I’ve included both options in this post.
Below, I’ll cover some of the best ways to find paid forum posting opportunities.
How Much Does Forum Posting Pay?
Now, onto the most important part. How much can you actually get paid for this?
I’ll level with you here. Forum posting doesn’t pay a lot. It’s not something that you’re, generally speaking, going to make a lot of money from. It’s not like freelance writing or selling stuff on Etsy where you could make a fulltime living from this.
Instead, it’s just good for getting some beer money. If you’re looking to just pick up a bit of extra cash doing something that’s relatively easy, then forum posting is for you.
Most of the time you earn a few cents per post.

Do you need any experience to post on forums?
No, and that’s the good thing about getting paid to post on forums. In most cases, you don’t need any experience or skills to make money posting on forums.
Forums that Pay You to Post
Let’s start out with some forums that pay you for posting. There aren’t as many of them around as there used to be, but there are still a few that are worth trying…
1. ExtraDime
ExtraDime is a forum that discusses ways to save money when shopping online. You’ll find discussions on things like coupons, promo codes, and cashback shopping on there.
You earn up to $0.10 for a new original thread and can cash out your money when you’ve earned $5. Payments are sent via PayPal.
2. Digital Money Talk
Digital Money Talk is a forum that’s focused on cryptocurrency. You earn anywhere from 0.25 points to 2.5 points for posting a new thread. 100 points is equal to $1.
You can cash out earnings at just $1, and payment options available include Payoneer, PM, and Bitcoin.
3. MyLot
MyLot is a discussion board and online community that pays you. Any time that you start a discussion, respond to a discussion or comment in a discussion, you’ll make a contribution that’s eligible for earnings.
Now, the amount of money you earn from posting depends on how interesting and valuable your post is considered to be by the site’s community. The more users on MyLot interact with your posts, the more money you can earn.
You can cash out your earnings to PayPal when you have earned $5.
4. FusionCash
FusionCash is a website where you can get paid to complete offers and tasks such as taking surveys, and watching videos. It even offers cashback shopping. One of the tasks that FusionCash pays you for is posting on its forums.
You can earn a $3 bonus every month if you make at least 30 posts in the forums. Now, you do need to have $25 in your account before you cash out and at least $15 of that must come from non-bonus credits, so make sure that you participate in other activities on the site to reach the payout limit.
Payment is sent via PayPal, by check, or by direct deposit. Sign up on the page linked in the section heading above and learn more about getting paid to post on the FusionCash forum here.
You can get a $5 bonus just for signing up.

6. UpWork
UpWork is a freelance platform that connects clients with freelancers, like you. The site features jobs in lots of categories from programming to graphic design. It also features forum posting jobs.
You can apply for the ones you want and set your own rates based on the client’s budget. Pay varies from job to job. There are lots of payment options available such as PayPal payments and direct deposits to your bank account.
7. Paid Forum Posting
Paid Forum Posting connects forum owners who want to gain more posts on their forums with writers who can create posts for them. You can apply as a writer. Payments are sent via PayPal. There’s no minimum cash-out limit, which is good. You can just request payment as soon as you have completed your tasks. The pay rate is based on the job and your status as a team member.
8. Fiverr
Fiverr is a platform where people can offer a variety of freelance services to clients. This can be anything from freelance writing services to voiceover work. You can offer forum posting services there.
You can choose how much money you want to charge for your forum posting services – which can be anywhere from $5 to $10,000. Fiverr takes a 20% cut of your income, though.

You can also make money repeatably by completing offers and referring people to various incentive sites. It won’t make you rich (neither will the ones listed above), but it will earn you some extra cash.
Satrap
Right, you can indeed make extra money completing offers. We actually have a few posts covering that topic as well.
raju
last year mylot stopped paying but now it started again paying for discussions. But they are not paying for using their search engine and also no referral earning.
Satrap
Thanks for the update, Raju.
These sites update their rules and policies frequently, so it gets kind of hard to keep up.
abiodun
nice and informative post about forum promotion… will check some of them out… thanks for sharing!!
Satrap
Thanks. Let me know how it goes.
Postloop
Stay away from PostLoop idiots running it!!!! Here is the message I got recently. This moron is taking side of spammers…. I was removing spammers – sure they will complain….. Post Loop is unreliable and I would just not work for them…
Your account has been removed from Postloop due to numerous issues regarding writer complaints, changes to your listings, and issues tracking posts at your forums. You were sent a message from us recently asking for more information as to why your posts were not being tracked correctly, to which you never responded.
Refunds have been issued via PayPal to compensate you for your remaining point balance at Postloop.
I apologize that this could not work.
Regards,
Ryan Royal
Satrap
From what you posted it seems like they were actually very nice to you and even paid you your remaining balance. Most sites (of this nature) will not pay you a dime once they close your account.
I don’t know your particular situation, but did you perhaps break any rules?
Ryan
Hi Satrap,
To your knowledge, Would any of these sites be interested in bartering, where they would be willing to trade commenting services for comments rendered to others on their behalf?
Satrap
I don’t know Ryan. I doubt it, but you could ask them.
Val
Hi,
It’s great to see we made your list. I just want to let readers know that we also own Kickstart Your Forums, and that URL is currently closed as we operate solely from the Paid Forum Posting site.
Thanks.
Val
Satrap
Thanks for the heads up, Val.

Liberty Reserve was shut down by the U.S. government earlier this year, after its founder pleaded guilty to money laundering. (See, e.g., https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/founder-liberty-reserve-pleads-guilty-laundering-more-250-million-through-his-digital ). I have no idea what the sites using LR are doing now — I just thought it was pertinent info you might like to add to your original post.
Otherwise, thanks for some great leads!
Satrap
Wow, thanks very much for the heads up, JR. I really appreciate you taking time to let me and our readers know.
Jasmine
Just to let everyone know, I went to search for Liberty Reserve, and the Domain has been seized by the Feds. You may want to stick with places that will pay you through PayPal or another site
shaan
Liberty Reserve is offline its not available now

Thanks for your valuable information. I have writing skills and was not finding the correct path to use my skills. Last month I visited Redgage site (https://www.linkedin.com/company/redgage-llc) and shared my 4 articles with them, and within 2 weeks, they paid me for my efforts. It was really my happiest day being my first earning.
Darryl
Thank you for this information. I also have been writing for years and enjoy doing it. It’s seems like a was born for writing. You have one of a kind name for a blog also. COOL!
Also I wanted to note that there is another way to earn money online and it’s something must of us do after writing. Watching videos. I thought this was a gimmick but after the beta testing is over we will be paid up to $25 an hour watching videos and a opportunity to earn a lot more with marketing skills. Of course BIG companies are placing commercials before or after these videos we would be watching but hey, I don’t care, I do this for hours each week anyway, why not get paid for it.
GOD BLESS YOU!
