1. Amazon
Amazon is my favorite place to shop for luggage. It’s so cheap on there and the quality is pretty good too. Prime members get free shipping on many items as well.
Find suitcases of all sizes on Amazon, as well as other types of luggage like duffel bags and backpacks. You can find suitcases for like $50 to $60 on there, backpacks and duffel bags for $20 to $30. Some duffel bags and backpacks are even under 20 bucks!
2. Unclaimed Baggage
Unclaimed Baggage is a really interesting store. It sells lost luggage.
According to Unclaimed Baggage, it “has purchasing agreements for all unclaimed items with all domestic airlines and other travel and transportation companies.”
You can find some good deals on luggage on the site. There are suitcases available for like $140. And you can get other types of luggage, such as backpacks, for a reasonable price there.

No matter what you’re looking to purchase, Walmart always comes through, right?
The store has an impressive selection of products and prices are always super affordable too.

There’s a great selection of luggage in all sizes. And it’s all cheap too. At the time of writing, you could get a 3-piece set of luggage for just $89.99! And you could get a duffel bag for $12.40 and a carry-on suitcase for just $37.99.
Walmart provides customers with free 90-day returns too. You can shop online or in-store at Walmart.
5. Target
For cheap luggage, give Target a try. Luggage found in Target is very affordable without sacrificing quality.
There, you can get travel backpacks and carry-on luggage from $49.99, and luggage sets from $84.99. You can get duffel bags on there for less than $20 too. You can shop online or in-store at Target.
When you shop online, you can get free 2-day shipping on orders of $35 or more. And, it has contactless pickup and same day delivery available.
Not only does Target have affordable items to begin with, but it also offers plenty of other ways for customers to save money.
For example, there’s a clearance section on the website where you can get some great discounts. And, there’s the Weekly Ad and Target Circle.
Target Circle is the store’s loyalty program that allows you to earn $1 in Target Circle earnings rewards every time you make an eligible purchase with non-RedCard payment. This can be used at Target in-store or online.
Target Circle also provides you with access to 100s of deals and 5% off a single purchase for your birthday.
6. Buy nothing groups on Facebook
Through local Buy Nothing groups on Facebook, you can get items for free. These groups are designed to help community members get the items that they need without having to spend money.
This tip for getting free luggage on Facebook Buy Nothing groups actually comes from Reddit.
I’ve recommended Buy Nothing groups before here on MoneyPantry for getting free stuff, but I had never considered them for luggage until I started researching where to buy cheap luggage. Actually though, it’s an excellent option.
People in these Buy Nothing groups post the items that they no longer want and are looking to give away to those in the community who can use them. This could include luggage. It’s definitely worth having a quick check for these groups.
What’s good about these groups is that you can actually make your own post where you request the luggage that you want. This could be anything from a hardside suitcase to a duffel bag. People may have unwanted luggage that they’d be willing to give to you.
7. Local thrift stores
One of my biggest tips for getting cheap luggage, whether that’s a large suitcase or a backpack, is to visit your local thrift stores.
Sometimes, you can find luggage for sale at nearby thrift stores. Not always, but it’s certainly worth having a look because you can find some great deals. Sometimes you can even find suitcases from well-known brands like Samsonite or American Tourister.
8. Facebook Marketplace
Facebook Marketplace always comes through with the bargains. Whether you want a cheap coffee table to furnish your home or a cheap suitcase.
If you don’t mind buying used, there are some real gems to be found on the platform. Take a look and you may be able to find duffel bags, suitcases, and carry-on luggage all for cheap.
9. TJ Maxx
One of my favorite places to get luggage, or anything for that matter, is TJ Maxx. My local store has so many bargains. I’ve bought baby clothes, notebooks, and more at my nearby TJ Maxx. It’s actually an awesome place to buy luggage.
There, you can find suitcases that are high quality at really affordable prices. Shop in-store or online. When you shop online, you can get free shipping on orders of $89 plus.
10. Ross Dress for Less
One of the places most commonly recommended on Reddit for buying cheap luggage is Ross Dress for Less. And, I totally agree.
For affordable luggage that doesn’t sacrifice quality, you can’t beat Ross Dress for Less.
