Happy Beginnings is a company that basically matches egg donors with families in need of egg donors.
They have been around for a while now and have centers in most major cities in the U.S.
Although they work across the country and accept donors of all races and background, they have a very high demand for certain donors.
Here is what the company says:
“We work with egg donors of all ethnic backgrounds. We have a very high demand for donors in Illinois and Missouri. But we will work with donors from any state. We have a very high demand for donors who are Asian, Middle Eastern, or Eastern Indian descent, or any other rare ethnicity.”

How much do you get paid to donate eggs?
The compensation ranges from $3500 to $15,000.
I am not sure how they decide who gets how much, but I am sure they have reasonable criteria, and furthermore, they will let you know about the compensation beforehand.
As for when and how you get paid, according to the company you get $750 upon the commencement of injectable medications and the rest of the money will be given to you within 30 days of the egg retrieval procedure.
So, how do you become an egg donor?
The process, from start to finish, typically takes 3-6 months.
Donors must be able to attend 5-10 office visits during this time frame.
The required fertility medications may cause some side effects including headaches, bloating, hot flashes and mood swings.
The actual retrieval is completed in a surgical suite, but there are no actual surgical incisions made.
Eggs are retrieved vaginally with an ultrasound-guided needle.
Some donors have experienced cramping and nausea for a few days following the procedure.
Eligible donors may participate in up to 6 donation cycles. That’s up to 90 thousand dollars total!
How to apply
The application process starts online.
Here’s how to get started:
- Step 1: Fill out Happy Beginnings’ donor application by going to their application page.
- Step 2: Wait for approval.
After you submit your application you’ll be able to login to your account (the account will be created during the application process). There you can update your profile if you need to.
I’d, however, highly recommend you read Happy Beginnings’ guidelines and donor FAQ section before submitting your application so you can learn everything you need to know about the process before committing to it.
