Here are 7 places where you can get envelopes for free.
1. USPS
The USPS is a great resource for free envelopes. It actually hands out many other shipping supplies too, in addition to envelopes, such as stickers, boxes, and mailing labels. So, overall, it’s a good place to get your hands on some free shipping supplies!
2. Craigslist
Craigslist is excellent for free stuff. And, this includes envelopes. You may be able to find people giving away envelopes on there. Just look in the free section of your city’s Craigslist.
You can do this by first going to your city’s Craigslist. Then, go to the “For Sale” section. Under that click on “Free,” and you’ll be able to search for people giving away free envelopes locally.
3. FedEx
Packaging is complimentary if you’re shipping using FedEx Express.
You can order free FedEx Express envelopes online. And, you can also get other packaging from FedEx, like FedEx Express Boxes and Tubes.
FedEx will ship packaging to you for free when you order it online, which is great.
4. Facebook Marketplace
You might know Facebook Marketplace as a website where you can buy and sell items nearby. But, it’s not just good for buying and selling locally. It’s also actually a good platform for finding free stuff, and this includes envelopes.
You can find free envelopes on Facebook by using the search bar. Enter the word “envelopes” into the search bar and then it will show you if there’s anyone giving away envelopes for free on there.

UPS is another good place where you can find free envelopes. You can order free envelopes from UPS, and it also has plenty of other shipping supplies available.

Personally, I collect envelops that come in the mail with requests to reply. If I am not replying, I may want the envelop and cover the address. If it is a stamped envelop, I may soak off the stamp to be used later.
