Become a Reebok product tester.
Like most other sportswear companies (Nike and Under Armour to name a few), Reebok also has a testing program where they send you shoes to test out for a duration of about 3-6 weeks so they can see how the product holds out in the real world and with normal daily wear and tear.
And unlike other companies’ product testing programs–Under Armour’s Wear Testing Program as an example–that don’t actually compensate you for testing their products, Reebok is known to send panelists free products (more on that below).
How Reebok’s Product Testing Works
To start, you have to first sign up for the program (link to the application at the end of this post). Fill out the application and wait to hear back.
Once there is a testing opportunity, Reebok’s Product Testing Team will choose testers based on the needs of that particular test. They will consider characteristics like your location, activity level, shoe/apparel size, etc.
If you are selected, they will send you an email invitation to participate. And if you do decide to give it a go, they will send you their product to test along with instruction on how to use it.
Once you receive the shoe you will have to use it for a required amount of time. This info will be given to you when they mail you the product.
During the testing period, you will be required to keep a detailed logs of your daily activity relevant to the use of the product.
Normally, these tests last between 3 to 6 weeks, at the end of which you will answer a few questions online about the experience and send the product back so they their lab people can analyze everything.
Do I Get To Keep The Reebok Shoes/Apparel After Testing It?
You are required to send the product back. After all, the main reason they do these tests is so that they can analyze how the shoe holds up after extended use. So without you sending the shoe back, it’s a waste of time for them.
Now, most people will jump at a chance to be the first one to try new products, so that’s enough incentive for most.
Try Swagbucks, the famous rewards program that pays you for watching videos, taking surveys, shopping and more.
That said, Reebok says:
For successfully completing your test, you will receive free Reebok product as their way of saying Thanks.
So you do get free Reebok products after completing each test.
Here are some of the requirements according to the company:
- You must be active (run, walk, play, or train daily)
- You must fit one of their test product sizes.
- You have to meet the minim weekly activity requirement.
- You have to provide body measurements for apparel testing
- You must have a valid email and access to the internet.
- You must be able to read and write in English.
- You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the US.
- You must not be participating in any of their competitor’s product testing programs.
- You can not share any info about the test.
